It's been stated numerous times by plenty of ITKs.

Not disputing he needed the signings but he turned signings down in the 6 to 12 months prior too. So he definitely to blame for some of it.

Here is the thing, ITK have said a lot but they are also repeating a narrative from within the club. Who was offered in place of de Ligt?

Given how bad our transfers and negotiations have been lately, Poch could have saved us a fortune rejecting more Njies, Nkoudous etc

It’s hard to swallow how all this has undone his years of being an idol to both young and old Spurs fans….my son plays U9 football and him and quite a few of his mates are Spurs fans and they all have a Kane shirt. I’ve said nothing to him about any of this but it’s so sad when I think of how Spurs youngsters idolise him and how making MORE money ( as if he didn’t have enough) was more important to him. I guess it’s just symbolic of what’s wrong with the world today

TBF I do not think it is about the money. I think Kane wants to win the PL, CL, and score 50+ goals per season. Reach Messi and Ronaldo levels. Win the Ballon d'Or, and be able to tell his kids and grandchildren "I am / was the best footballer in the world". And I think he (correctly) thinks he is more likely to achieve that at Man City than Tottenham.

Fair enough, it’s just feels cheap and misplaced when he had hero status. Why is that not enough, as fans we would give our left testi to have that

I think we can all accept that Kane is leaving. He said he wanted out 7 weeks ago? He believes he has a gentleman's agreement to break contract half way through. I don't know if that's true. It's a bit daft if it is but here we are anyway. And it's a road we've been down before. It doesn't usually end well for us. Kane isn't a Saint in this but when you consider previous transfers windows where we bought nothing, and the time poch said we needed a shake up but levy said no, you can see why its a different set of conditions to when he signed his extension and was promised glory with him as the leader. So just accept he is gone, get the best deal and move on. We get longer to aquire players ans bed them down with a manager who was another of Dan's amazingly bad transfer dealings. But I digress. We need to accept kane is gone and concentrate on what's best for Spurs going forward. And we should have done this 3 weeks ago.
It’s hard to disagree with the premise that, in an ideal world, all of the transfer business is complete early in the window. The problem is that we’re only one-side of the equation and in transfer business it takes ‘two to tango’.

As far as I’ve read the only offer we’ve received to date is one that values Kane far below market value, and includes a load of part-ex players from City that we’re not interested in.

So whilst I agree with the general premise, I’m not sure how this could have been achieved ‘3 weeks ago’.

FWIW and someone else who was at the game can correct me if wrong, but the pre match video didn't really feature Kane that much? Showed players' goals and Hugo's saves. Don't remember seeing any Kane goals. Been a long day so may be misremembering though.

Also no songs about Kane at all, good or bad, were sung.

I noted something similar in the VT played at half time. Saw one brief shot of Harry leading the team out, and that was it. The bulk of the video was the rest of the squad. I noticed it because it seemed odd to exclude him from 99% of the edit.

I agree with this, however, the GN interview and not showing up to training is totally the wrong way to handle this. I would say the majority would have understood him being sold especially after 3 to 4 years of mismanagement in the transfer market but now had damaged good image at Spurs.

Kane could definitely get 50 plus goals for us this year playing in a 3rd rate euro cup.

I have comment d plenty on Kane throughout the thread. The specific post you mentioned was in direct reply to the suggestion he wanted to move for more money. It is glory he wants. And yes, he has gone about it in a very bad way.

Rule number 1 on Spurs Community is do not deviate against the group think. What I've said is not controversial in the least. It's based on 20 years of observing the clown prince in action. And it's happening all over again.

What's happening in 20 Years? I can tell you in 20 years we have gone from premier league no hopers to being in a position to financially compete, bar the oil/oligarch owners. Since the stadium opened, he has backed managers.

Yes, Levy can take elements of blame for past failures. However, up until 2019 it's been quite good.

I was there when we lost 3-0 at home to Sheffield Wednesday. I sat through gross, pleat, santini, the man in a trenchcoat.

The concept that everything wrong is Levys fault seems an incredibly blinkered view on things.

Perhaps an element of critical no biased thinking wouldn't go amiss.

Spurs head coach Nuno Espirito Santo confirmed he would aim to conduct socially-distanced talks with striker Harry Kane on Monday.

Kane, who was expected to return to training on Monday but did not show up, will train alone until Thursday and, speaking after Spurs' pre-season victory over Arsenal on Sunday, Nuno said: "Harry is with us. He has to quarantine; he is at Spurs Lodge. He's training, he already had his first day with the sports scientists. He's with us, it's good.

"We expect to integrate Harry when he follows all the protocols we have to apply. We have to be very strict with the process of quarantine and not take any chances because everyone has learned the pandemic is still there, so we have to be very careful.

"I will speak with Harry as soon as possible. He is already at Spurs Lodge, we have a training session tomorrow [on Monday], hopefully I can speak with Harry socially distanced."

He seems to have burnt his bridges all the way through the club this time, feels like they may be getting ready to sell him
