The only solution to the problem is to sell up, buy two decent strikers that will replace his goals and who turn up during the big games. Do this before the last day of the transfer window.

If earlier ITK is true and this is FP and Hitchen’s call then they need a play an absolute blinder here or Levy might be waving goodbye to them in a year. If they get this right then Levy may very well step away from the footballing side of things for good but this transfer window has just become massive!

We have to sign players prior to the announcement. Its going to be a PR disaster if we don't have quick announcements.

Im slightly concerned about the market for CFs. We've missed out on Daka, Ings and probably Tammy Abraham. I'm sure we would have brought one of those in if Kane left earlier in the window. I'm not massive on Lautaro and it looks like he might be signing a new deal, whilst there are a host of sides in for Vlahovic. I guess the latter is who we will end up with though, with one more.

We'll aim higher than Daka and there is 0 chance we would have signed Abraham. I wouldn't have minded Ings as back up.

I hope we go all out for the lad at Fiorentina

Id very much hope we would be bringing in his replacements before we sell him to City but doesnt seem like anyone is close. Disappointed in him, the fact we are selling to City, that weve caved and also that the fee wont be as high as £150mill after all the talk of our price or get lost (unless the add ons are massive and easily achievable).
It’ll be signed but not announced much like Bale.

Everything in the summer Bale went pointed to him going, such as not being played on the tour, but we didn’t announce and did our business before the deadline day announcement. I don’t see this playing out any differently.

Even if it’s done, the club will still issue a hardline through people like Ally Gold so we’re not 100% sure which way it will go.

I’m also reasonably relaxed about Paratici bringing in some good talent - he’s already brought in a world class centre back, what looks like a quality successor to Hugo and an exciting winger prospect.

We need to Keep the Faith!

As things stand the team to face City is honestly significantly worse than the team last season
I know I am hopelessly optimistic, but I think the squad are better today. Not that we have better players, but because we have a better team spirit and the players who are here are better coached.

Just wanted to pop back in and say fuck this petulant 2 year old snake. So fucking glad this schmuck is off. He's spent the last 4 months disrespecting the club, its fans & his teammates. Fuck him. I would love to see Dier or Pierre end his career with a heavy 2 footed ankle breaker.

That's it for me. Maybe ill be back in a few months. Maybe I wont. So long everyone.

Pep was right. We were the "Harry Kane" team. We were always one injury away from a crisis - and we hit that multiple times because of his crystal ankles and the fact we had no idea of how to play without him. Yes, his goals are hard to replace on a like-for-like basis but Son had a more prolific time when HK was out and having to develop a new way of playing that isn't solely through HK could liberate and actually make us more difficult to play against. We will certainly be less "stop Kane, stop Tottenham".

Plus, we have found ourselves in a position where we have weaknesses throughout the team. So whereas we could keep Kane, we'd then still have those weaknesses. Now we can raise the quality in other key areas. This, in turn, will hopefully make us better.

The money does have to be around 160 though. and the recruitment has to work.

A few more bits coming in drips and drabs...

Kane being awkward since his return. Don't buy into his didn't want to hurt fans bs. All he wants is to go.

Nuno wants him out.

Fab wants the money asap.

We could miss out on targets if we delay too long.

City still not met the price, but are getting close.

Might not be completed by weekend but very likely agreed by all parties.
Not suprised Nuno wants him out. This makes sense.

We honestly shouldn’t be so happy to just see him go. Yes he’s acted like a spoilt brat but we are still selling a world class player to a domestic rival. It needs to be uncomfortable for the whole club and owners. This should hurt.
It definitely hurts. He would have gone with some well wishes had he not behaved so abhorrently but now he gets absolutely nothing.

I feel so confused about all this. He’s been world class for us. And now he’s been a world class moron at the final curtain. I’ve loved watching him wear our shirt and right now I never want to see him in it again.

Just rip the plaster off now Levy and get us in some sweet treats to distract us from the gaping wound.

It’s so reminiscent of the Bale summer, everyone was hyped about how Baldini was getting deals done left and right etc etc. He was gone within a year. Let’s hope it turns out better this time.

Hope we sign vlahovic and announce Kane has left at the same time, in tiny blue print at the bottom of the article ?
