I'm not even sure why Merson is on the TV to be honest. Does anyone in the world care about anything he has to say? Utter drivel constantly, so out of touch it's painful.

Almost feel sorry for him sometimes. Absolute mess of a bloke.

Dont feel sorry for a (PPP) Powder Puff Prick (sniff )... the most biased dumb tosser on SSN, thats quite an accolade as they are all bellends

Michael Dawson was on Soccer Saturday yesterday as a pundit and was adamant that Kane should not play any part as he hasn't had a proper pre season and therefore he is risking injury. I watched it and just thought it was a point of view, I wake up today reflecting that Daws has just recently been appointed as a club ambassador. Do you think he would have been briefed by the club to lay the groundwork for a non-appearance today or would they let him be free to express his own thoughts?

Good point, when Ledley did a legends night last year he was very much a company man, nothing controversial at all.

Mike McGrath saying that he had a meeting with Nuno last night ?

Levy to hold firm on Kane as City bid nears
Mike McGrath
Ian Whittell
Daniel Levy is set to hold firm with his intention to keep Harry Kane at Tottenham when he comes face to face with Manchester City officials today.
Levy is adamant he does not wish to sell Kane despite the England captain wanting to move and City willing to break the British transfer record for him. The Spurs chairman is braced for an official bid in the final fortnight of the summer transfer window, with City seemingly willing to pay £120 million.
Kane has trained for two days with his Spurs team-mates after returning from an extended summer holiday in the Bahamas following the Euros and a period of quarantine. He held talks with new manager Nuno Espírito Santo last night over whether he was mentally and physically ready to today face the team he has made clear he wants to join.
Pep Guardiola has defended City’s owners for their massive investment in his squad, with a thinly veiled criticism of rival counterparts who aim to “benefit” from the running of their clubs. “I am not judging what other clubs do,” the City manager said. “Some owners want to benefit – our owners don’t want any benefits. So they [other clubs] don’t invest in the team, while we invest what we can invest. I said last year that we couldn’t spend £100 million. We have bought Jack Grealish because we sell for £60 million, so in the end we have spent £40 million.”
Guardiola also said City are prepared to defend any accusations against Financial Fair Play wrongdoings. “We have limits for Financial Fair Play and if they don’t agree they can go to court and make a statement – and we will defend. We follow absolutely the rules.”
Pretty disgusting the way he boasts about thise owners and without a hint of irony wears a refugee charity hoodie.

Hi,

City fan that casually reads other boards (just because I love reading about other clubs)

What is your guys main problem with Kane at the moment? Is it that he wants to leave? Or the way he has gone about it? (Look at Grealish and how he trained, still got abuse by villa fans)

As a city fan I think 150m isn't something City will pay, while I agree that 150m+ is easily what Kane is worth to you.

Don't want any arguing about clubs or what have you, genuine interest and just wanted to see how people were feeling about maybe losing Kane and how that would affect your season?

Don't blame him for wanting out but hand in a transfer request and do it the right way

One of your own doesn't refuse to come back to training on time. They would be professional the whole way through.

If he managed to win a trophy with Spurs it would mean ten times more than winning one with City.

Yes it's a big if but I just think he's completely wrecked his legacy with the Club...all for chasing hollow trophies which is essentially on cheat mode.

I think the way things are achieved are sometimes more important than the achievement itself.

I guess that gets lost on some people.

If he doesn’t want to play for us anymore then he can just piss off. After putting in a transfer request and Man City paying around £200m in money up front and players. If it was up to me I’d insist on your four best academy prospects being included and really test the mettle of your shady, morally corrupt franchise.

I have no qualms about him wanting to leave. It's the way he and his brother have gone about it. Arriving late, hiding in Florida, the obvious BS statement that put blame on the fans for their understandable reaction.

What you have to remember regarding Kane is up to now he has been seen as the ultimate professional. The ultimate professional would have trained despite the ongoing negotiations. He was also "one of our own" don't forget. His actions, the statement and the wedding leak was a slap in the face to all of us.

That's why he has received the abuse.

You've said it yourself he's worth more to us than he is to city as we can't buy another world class player like him. The reason many spurs fans feel he has tarnished his reputation / legacy with us is how he has gone about this whole process by leaking stories at times his team think will have most impact but are the worst time for us like the Neville interview, being sly / underhanded by trying to protect his reputation with fans but doing all this in the background and then to top it off effectively going on strike.

For me I want rid of him but if we don't get 150m+ then he goes nowhere.

Attempts to defend where City get there money from, it’s disgusting. The human rights record alone means they have no rights to get moralistic at all, they should just shut the fuck up and continue to buy the league

They don’t want the world to think they are buying the league, city are concerned that it looks like they are buying the league.

They are buying the league, the whole world knows it.

I always find it interesting that in that cringe of an interview he did with Neville whilst playing golf, Harry himself spoke of a scenario where somebody may offer £100m. It’s so obvious city and Harry have been conspiring over this move for months.
The arrogance of city is ridiculous. It’s a shame as well as Peps transition from the manager he was at Barca, creating a team from youth and a little experience, to play the most fantastical football you’d seen, to cheque book manager who feels he can bully all over clubs is indicative of how the soul of me seen football has been ripped out

How do you feel about your owners and their state making gay people go through conversion therapy? Above all else I'm disappointed Harry wants to move to a club and fanbase that advocates that.

1. The way he's gone about the whole thing. I'd love a Ferrari, but I would wholly expect to get thrown out of the showroom if I had a tantrum because they wouldn't sell me a LaFerrari for £50K. It's a complete lack of respect for the club and the fans.

2. If he goes we will be fine. Yes, it will take a while to find our feet but we will adjust, we've lost elite players before and brought through new ones.

Tottenham Hotspur are not defined by Harry Kane, despite what he may think.
