No offence - but you’ve totally missed the point. Nuno excluded Kane because he did not deserve to be in the squad. He was not fit enough and he has disrespected the squad. He has had two training sessions after a month off. Romero was training with Atalanta and also did not have to quarantine, and was 100% committed.
That was my point. It highlighted perfectly that this fitness excuse was exactly that, just an excuse. Harry's absence was enforced upon him by Nuno. This was an opportunity for a 10 minute cameo from Harry to show the fans he was going nowhere and for the manager to illustrate to everyone that the prodigal son had returned. That chance was rejected and many will see more into it why that was done than there probably is.The next 24 hrs should tell us more I think.

You lot are so overly sensitive.

I thought that was very well made and rather witty. Any other team's talisman being subject to that i bet wouldn't be seen anywhere near as negatively here.
It was a spoof of the newsreel start of Citizen Kane right?

It was a pretty witty intro, but completely out of place seeing as he wasn't even in the frigging squad, and just comes off as overshadowing what was a great game of football and a great win and performance from us, but instead making it about a player that had nothing to do with it. I'm sure that someone thought that it was very clever, but it all plays into the stupid circus around this situation when we should instead be celebrating full stadiums, great games and performances, and fuck me, even some decent reffing. There was a lot more to celebrate today than someone's smug intro concept, imo, so it fell pretty flat with me

I’ve come to terms with it, he needs to go and we get one of these new younger strikers who want to play for us.
Harry has shown his true colours, he’s never played for Tottenham Hotspur he’s played for the Harry Kane team.
There was a more tighter vibe with the team today, maybe they are pissed off with him and told him not to be pitch side but he’s shown so much disdain for Spurs I’m finding it hard to believe he holds the club dear to him.
It’s all about brand Kane right now, and a face saving exercise.
He might be the best striker we have had and may ever have but I think it’s time to move on to the new era with players that wanna play for the badge.

I'm probably in the extreme minority now but if I was Levy I wouldn't even pick up the phone from City or Charlie Kane for that matter again. Just get Rebecca or whoever to send them late messages saying Daniel was out or busy and that he'll get back to them.

IMO City don't need Kane. They have Jesus and Torres, they don't have real trouble creating chances, scoring goals, winning games. They just want him and have spent the last year tapping him up because they're pricks. Why give them the satisfaction?

Some of you guys willing to take less money now just to get Kane out the door are literally falling right into Pep's hands. It's LITERALLY why all this shit has gone on. Kane causes a stir not turning up when he should have and being unavailable today and all of a sudden we are willing to cut his price because we are so pissed off with him?

Is that not the whole point of what him and his brother has tried doing all along? Driving the price down?

Nah. Fuck those tactics, price stays the same. City want one of the best strikers in the world who has 3 years left on his contract for £100m? Also England captain and all the other stats? Get him to kick up a fuss a bit, hope the fans hate him enough to put the pressure on Levy to sell on the cheap? Come on guys, literally playing into Citys hands with some of your comments.

If they dont want to pay he stays, grovels a bit and cracks on.

We played very well today but to suggest we're better off without Kane is silly. We might not like it, but he's the best striker in this league and most leagues..

We aren't any better off without Kane, no team would be.

What today proved is we are more than the "Harry Kane Team" that Pep alluded too. Nuno tactically had a system that worked today surrendering possession on the flanks as they had no centre forward to attack any crosses.

If he wants to go join a false football club that's today's squad cost over half a billion, they have to pay up for the missing piece.

Citeh fucked up today, Grealish doesn't win them matches, hes a similar player to what they have already they miss a focal point and now everyone knows it.

Is his secretary named Rebecca?

Listening to TalkSPORT on the way home (yeah I know) and City fans not even fussed if they sign him or not. He won’t be a legend there or someone they even want it seems. He will end up being disliked by a whole new set of fans but that’s his bed let him lie in it.

Just because it's what they and Kane wanted it doesn't necessarily follow that it's not in our best interests as well.

I'm not saying it is, but you treat it as a given that it's a zero sum game whether we sell for below what Levy feels is the fair valuation before negotiations begin.

Agree that today showed life goes on without him and the players have no issue playing without and didn't need him today. I think if he stays then should not be a starter every game and start to phase him out if he is leaving next summer

No negotiating. It's not in our best interest to sell him for under £150m. Regardless or him throwing a hissy fit or not. Accepting under that amount because he might be a pain in the arse and throw his toys out the pram is what I meant in the first post.

I wonder how likely this scenario is:

We beat city tomorrow sans Kane,
City shit their pants and offer ~150m
We accept and buy Vlahovic & Martinez & CB
City win league and Kane gets his medal
Spurs new squad gel and we sneak top 4

wouldn’t mind a bit of that tbh

Step 1 - Check …

Unfortunately, for what an amazingly complete player he is, he will never be a legend anywhere.

All other fans mock him, and even a lot of English fans thought he should be dropped during the euros.

He won't get the same chances when he moves and it's what he deserves. If you sell out, expect the consequences

To state the obvious I think today's game was fantastic. Not just the result but the passion and grit we showed compared to last season. Based on this:
Without Kane - we will do well, and have an environment where new additions can thrive.
With Kane - he will still have his obsession for goal scoring but he'll have to work harder as if we bring a new striker in (Vlahović ) we know we need to give him game time in case Kane goes next summer. We have Kane's goals for a season, a season for a new striker to acclimatise and a manager who looks like he will bring the team together and give us something to cheer for!

I think they are serious about him. I just don't think they can afford a cash only deal. They can't shift big players(same as everyone else) and Pep keeps referencing how they could only get grealish because they sold some players first. I think it has to be a ffp thing.

Makes sense RE : FFP thing, however I do question Mancscums desire, do they need Kane / top striker 1000% yes, did they need Grealish not really, not as a key priority anyway. Peps has mentioned the Grealish story "Oh we only afford him because of player sales income, they should of used it on Kane then they could afford him.

I think Nuno and Paratici are more than fine not having Kane back. And I'm sure Levy will heed their call. Whilst I can accept £140m + add ons already, I'm confident Levy is gonna get better deals, because I still think Kane will leave, Citeh will pay and Levy will sell.
