Selling for 150 at the start of the window or even a few weeks ago when he didn’t turn up I would have accepted. Selling for 150 with 8 days to go where clubs will ask for more or be unwilling if they can’t get replacements or won’t be willing to negotiate a reasonable price (e.g. Vlahovic) has to be a no!

One of the BM ITKs just posted this, basically saying Kane isn't happy about the number 10 situation at City.... :ROFLMAO:

City went back to Kane late Friday night with a revised proposal, based on a potential loss of longer term earnings from image rights (the whole not being number 10 thing). We will know tomorrow if he’s happy, but there will be no counter offer.

We haven’t tried to speak to Spurs directly for a week now, because of the unrest in the Kane camp.

If Kane is happy with the new proposal, we will speak to Spurs. If he’s not, we will pull the plug.

Its D-Day (metaphorically speaking).

I like the fact he unnecessarily clarified that this was only a metaphorical d-day and we should not, in fact, prepare to storm the beaches of Normandy.

No serious or sane football club would sell their best player, especially in a position where they have no senior backup, without having made sure an adequate replacement was in situ first.

Whether this applies to THFC is yet to be seen.

Unnecessary for you maybe. Some of us are frantically getting out of our battle dress and putting our bayonets away. Should have realised it was metaphorical as I didn't have to complete a passenger location form.

Too late - I’m already crossing the channel on my way to Omaha beach

I still think he will leave if the money is right, Levy is still Levy. May be the minority here, but I still wish he leaves. I don't know if I can still find the love for him even watching him played last night - I think he has done too much in disrespecting us that I was so void of feelings for him..

Call me an optimist but I still believe we will bring in a good striker after his sales.

Issue is there are hardly any decent strikers on the market atm that can hit the ground running (Ings was the most obvious one) let alone ones that could end up being elite level

If city come in, even with £150 million, then levy should be telling them to fuck off because they've left it too late.

They decided to prioritise grealish over Kane, a player they don't even need, and then left themselves short of cash, if you can believe that.

If they don't get him this summer then I think that will be it and they won't come back next year, especially if haaland and mbappe are available and other strikers have good seasons and are a cheaper alternative.

Totally agree. City have left this too late. It was only ever attractive to sell with 3 years of his contract left if it meant we got three top class players in to replace him, 2 of them forwards (e.g. Vlahovič, Martinez and Laporte). If we sell him now we'll end up over paying on a mediocre forward and be much, much weaker.

Tell Kane he is going nowhere this summer for any price and give him a new contract with a release clause of £130M for next summer, that is only active in July.

Kane will be sold, replacement will be a budget option and the explanation will be that we ran out of time. Feeling really pessimistic about the upcoming week.

If he stays, my hero. If he goes, bollox to him. Fickle as it may be, thats the deal.
If I was using all my 5 IQ, I'd probably guess nows not a bad time to go.
