Well Sir Alex called Levy "different" but what he really meant by different is that he doesn't lay down for anybody. These big clubs think they can just flex their muscles and buy the best players from anyone outside the Champions League. For all the criticism of Levy over the years I'm so glad he's our chairman for times like this. City thought they could get Kane below what he's worth, Charlie thought he could force a move, Levy is like Wu-Tang Clan "nothing to fuck with". There was only ever going to be one winner in this.
What struck me most in the interview Kane did with Neville was when he suggested the decision he makes will be his and not Levy's. Its shocking to me that someone who came through the academy and has been around the club so long could think that. Maybe Kane thought he got so big in recent years that he had power at the club. He learnt the hard way and now has to be humble again. Pep on the other hand is acting like a kid who asked for a PS5 for Xmas from his parents who only had the money for a PS4.

Is so small time isn't it. FFS, coming from a titles-winning manager of his pedigree. If I'm Kane I will be so disappointed to wanna go over there so badly in the last few months while Spurs fans still loving me so much.
Hope he does feel ashamed and learn from it, put in more effort than he ever did to repay the faith.

Incredibly satisfying to see how salty he is about being refused what he wants.
I think our club has come out of the whole debacle incredibly well and not needed to lower themselves in public in the way he has.

I still hope Levy offers Harry a new contract that puts all this to bed - a 1/2 year extension, same basic wage, increased bonuses for goals/trophies/beating Shearer & Greavsie's records, and a release clause (at an acceptable price for the club) that's only triggered if we don't get CL. That way everyone knows where they stand, Harry has a chance to be paid like the £150m player many of us think he is, and we send a clear message to the world (and Charlie, and H) that the only way of getting Harry our of our club for the forseeable is on our terms.
Otherwise next summer it'll be the same bollox as this one but even noiser, once Barca & Real are no longer skint.

Release clause dependent on making CL is not a great idea. We know Harry wants to win stuff, and what happens if we are within a shout of making top 4 come may? Does he give his all? Just do a straight release clause and give him a bonus for top 4 this year.

Wanted to post in here as it’s the place i got the most hate (and prob been put on ignore by a lot of people)
I’ve not been in a good place mentally since end of July, I seemingly took a lot of frustration out on this thread, giving out ratings like spam, d’oh, wtf etc etc and it caused a lot of grief for people.
I also called out some ITK’s which was wrong.
So I wanted to apologise to anyone I may have offended.
I’m on the mend now and getting some professional support. Plus Kane is staying so the world is all good ??
