If he turns down Real to chase Shearer’s record I think he’s an idiot, frankly. Some day someone will chase down his record and he’ll have nothing. Go to Spain, win a title and maybe a CL. Nobody can take those achievements away.
Yeah. I'd even ignore the titles etc.

If Real or Barca come knocking, unless you're at City (these days) you go.

Do we believe Tim? Even in this 1 min video he’s inflated Soldado’s price by £3M and he’s known to bullshit but at the same time it wouldn’t surprise me if something similar happened.

He goes on to lie about the length of his contract with us and Jordan catches him out. I wouldn’t believe a word he says. The longer video is interesting enough but I wouldn’t trust Sherwood as far as I could throw him.

He goes on to defend levy a lot.

As someone rightly pointed out, Tim brought Adebayor back into the fold before Soldado or Kane, so it's possible he's over-exaggerating.

He is certainly dishonest with the truth. Always has been.

However, I do admire Sherwood for his belief in the youth, he always bigs up younger players and wants them to be given chances. Deserves credit for that, just a shame he needs to over-exaggerate.

Also, I do believe him regarding what Baldini said.

We know Levy listens to too many people, whether it's Cullen, Jose, Baldini, Paratici...he definitely gets sucked in by them.

This is why you need a football visionary because they tend to have a belief of how the football should be and don't get wavered they are more headstrong.

Explains why we have this mess of a squad and approach.

The basic premise might be accurate, but I reckon in Tim-o-vision most ‘facts’ are stretched for dramatic licence!

If only 10% of that is true it's not shocking we are were we are is it?

With all due respect, most of us didn’t think Kane was going to become what he has. I watched him a few times when he first started getting a few starts and he just didn’t look good enough. So to point yet another finger at Levy just for the sake of it is getting beyond tiresome.

Levy getting involved in starting 11 decisions and listening to too many voices is a separate discussion IMO but one that, explains a lot of the mess we are in. It was also pretty evident from the documentary.

We should get some money for him and let him move on, we have been unable to win things with him here. I’d wish him the best he’s been fantastic but if he left for nothing next year that would be a travesty. He wants the
Prem goals record and we need to rebuild for a potential new coach. We had a great run without him that year in the champions league and didn’t do anything much when he came back. I’d prefer us to build a team rather than a side with a few world class individuals.

The way the club, sorry business is going surely he would be too big or heavy to gain the most out of him when we get the go kart track anyway.

I watched the whole podcast and took what he said with a pinch of salt.
He denied being signed to an 18 month contract when he took over as caretaker which Jordan pulled him up on.
He also claimed City bid 150m for Kane 2 years ago which Jordan again challenged. When Jordan claimed it was nowhere near that amount and revealed his source to be Levy, Sherwood accepted it.
Not saying there is no truth in the above snippet but it was good to see some of these behind the scenes tales that he likes to tell, usually on live pundit panels, challenged.

Never forget that Tim sherwood said this about super jan:

Sherwood said: “Vertonghen is so poor. Can't move his feet. He looks elegant with the ball but he just can't defend, this guy.”

He got kane right, but he seems to only be able to tell people about his successes.

Wow... who knew that Paul Merson could be a sensible guy ? 😁😁

Merson: "He has to leave Tottenham now otherwise he's never leaving because Man City have got Erling Haaland and United and Chelsea need to buy a centre-forward this summer. So, by the time Kane is a free transfer at the end of next season, everyone will have a striker.

But I don't see him leaving Tottenham. People say he has to win trophies, the only place he can guarantee winning them is at Manchester City. If he goes to Manchester United they could easily win nothing next season.

And what about his young family? You've got to weigh up this stuff as well. Everyone just looks at the footballer. He's a family man and Tottenham through and through. I'd be quite shocked if he did leave."

If he wants to move to United, we should not stand in the way.
Let him leave - he deserves it.
I wouldn't do it for him, if anything it'd have to be for the club. If we're bringing in a project manager who wants to build a team over the next few years and Kane's there running his contract down, we have to get shot - as painful as that'd be. Otherwise what happens? We set the team up around him for a year, then he goes, then we have to find a new way of playing in year two? I dunno. If he's not signing a new contract, sell him and give Ange (or whoever it is) a chance to genuinely start a new project.

I don't think that it is that unreasonable to say Levy/Baldini wanted to sell him. So many of our former players say they had no idea he would ever become this good. Our former academy manager, Alex Inglethorpe, has also said in interviews he didn't ever see Kane getting to where he has. Kane's uplift in ability was a genuine surprise to so many who worked with him at youth level.

If he really wants to go then Real is best option, get 100m he signs a 3 year deal, sign him for 60m in 2 years time and he comes back and breaks the PL record.
