Daft if he goes to Bayern.

If he wants to go abroad he should be pushing for Real Madrid, a true giant and one likely to win the lot again.
Bayern are a true giant, and every chance they win the lot again. They're not that far off in the CL if they add Kane, plus they have an easier run in the league.

Real will always have a chance in the CL but their league is less of a certainty (Barca won it last year).

Either of the two would be a great move for him. Real arguably more iconic but not like Bayern aren't a giant.

Nobody said Spurs should take the 60m

But it’s not so far off a negotiating position that it’s just a piss take. It’s a low bid - a starting point.

And, selling him might be the difference in affording all the players people want…
Absolutely in an ideal world I wouldn’t ever want to sell our best player but clubs have and will continue to do so and thrive. We are in a mess and This feels like a reset and maybe the time has come to start afresh and build with a new striker. As I said before if circa £80-£90m plus add ons comes in, sorry but I’d take it.

I don't doubt it plays a part, but still think he'd go in a heartbeat.

Bayern are always competing for the highest honors and compared to Utd, Kane would likely see a possibility to win a CL or two. He'd leave for Real as well but they don't seem to be that interested. In the meanwhile, we don't have any European football and he's leaving in a year anyway and there are no guarantees for us finishing in the CL places next season, not to mention winning any kind of trophy.

He'd go.

I don't know. He strikes me as a real family man and home bird.

I think the formula is pretty simple:
- Kane stays
- Kane then scores 48 league goals to overtake shearer’s record
- Spurs subsequently win the league
- Kane either leaves for Madrid or signs new contract until 2030 and rides off into the sunset in a wheelbarrow full of cash 👍🏼

If he won't sign a new deal (and why should he), then I'd be inclined to take this offer. Let him go and piss the Bundesliga, get his trophy, and keep his legend status here.

Does also indicate why we're moving for Maddison early as we'll have a bit of cash lying around. Shame as would have loved to have seen the two of them linking up.

Hopefully we include some kind of buyback/first option clause.

I dare say Ange has enough on his plate managing this club at this particular time without the ongoing headache of having to bat away the media asking about Kane's future at every available opportunity.

Should Bayern or indeed even Madrid offer a suitable package over £100m then it's time to rip the plaster off and wish Kane well and everyone at the club can focus totally on rebuilding the team, playing high press/high intensity swashbuckling football and pushing in the near future to competing for silverware.

If you are trying to install a new system it probably makes sense to build it out around players who will be here longer than 12-months.

This.

The problem is that if Kane stays for this season, Ange will have to build a system around him to some extent. It's not like Ange can easily sideline him. So if Kane then leaves in the summer, we will have to start again. Personally, I think it's less disruptive for Kane to leave now before Ange starts than one year into Ange's project.

Firstly, it will probably be more difficult for Ange to implement new ideas and systems one year into the job than it would be now whilst things are fresh.

Secondly, fans will probably give Ange less time in the second season than they do in the first season. It's easy to imagine us building some momentum this coming season with Kane, but then the wheels coming off in the second season after we've sold him.

I want Kane to stay at Spurs and live forever, so we always have him in our team - unfortunately that's not possible so the the two things i'd hate most would be a) He goes to a PL team b) He goes to a PL team for free.

I hope the bid isn't true and that he signs a new contract so i can enjoy him for another 5+ years ,but as has been mentioned in previous posts , if you are going for a massive rebuild under a new manager and you aren't able to guarantee he'll be part of it long term then yeah, cashing in now to a foreign club would be the next best thing, albeit not feeling like it's a best thing at all !

I get that I do, but I also feel if it was as simple as *I want out* we would know much more about it now.
I think he has wanted out since the Neville interview. He got played by Levy, and knows he simply has to bide his time.

I seriously doubt he is excited by yet another new project at Spurs and just wants to be someplace he can win now.

That's a massive lowball. Less than Arsenal are paying for Havertz who barely plays the same sport as Kane. If they're serious they need to up that significantly.
It's not that much of a lowball. Havertz has just turned 24, Kane is about to turn 30. Havertz had 2 years left on his contract, Kane has 1.

If transfer fees were determined purely on ability, you'd be correct but a lot of other factors go into it and not many of those factors are in our favour with Kane.

Still think it comes down to two things:

1. Kane's preference
2. Fee

If Bayern can stump up a fee structure (my wild random guess would be £80m + a shit ton of add-ons) and Kane is saying to the club that he'd be willing to go and is unlikely to sign a new contract, then I personally don't think Ange would even want him to stay around.

Bayern are a huge huge football club, with an amazing history, amazing stadium and massive fanbase.

I can fully see Harry liking the idea of playing for them, it's guaranteed success playing for a huge club and he can come back and break the record

But I also think with that history comes and arrogance and ignorance of others. Starting with that bid is only going to achieve one thing. Pissing off Daniel Levy who is known to be the most awkward prick about when it comes to selling his players. He scared off Man city, Madrid and Man Utd so I don't know how Bayern plan on going down this route and getting success

Forget what your own personal view on what a fair price is, we know our chairman and it won't much for much less than at least 100 million and that's pounds not euros.

We have seen this game before and Levy won't play it

Maybe his advisers are encouraging bids to get Man Utd to make an offer?

I would reluctantly sell him to United now, for a £90million+ fee, than letting him walk out for free next season.

I also want him to break Shearer's PL record.
What a cuck.
