What some of you guys need to remember is Charlie Kane is a gobshite who is well out of his depth.
I believe this to be true

But the fact they are flirting with other teams is evidence Kane still wants to leave, rather than be part of the new project.

If he is genuinely up for going there we really should be looking at doing something with them

He's going next summer so best we get to choose somewhere abroad for him to go and get some wonga, in the grand scheme of things one more season, where his heart wont be completely in it, is irrelevant

If he wants to go, he needs to go now. Only reason he should be staying this summer is if he signs a new deal

Honestly cant believe people are happy to see him go for nothing to a rival next summer. Small time.
i don't get it either, we've had plenty of years to win a trophy with Kane and actually been in quite a few finals with him but to let him go for free is just daft.

I don't know why.

They could make an absolute fortune next year and have their pick of any club in the world.
Not really. The number of teams would be small, and narrowed even more by who needs a striker. That is why they wanted City a couple of years ago - as teams sign longterm deals with strikers, they are less likely to sign Kane.

I suppose it could be. It could also be he'll pick up the phone to anyone who calls and tell them whatever they want to hear......... He definitely thinks he's more important/influencial than he is, and I know people in the industry who literally laugh at him and how he operates.

Unless City come in I honestly don't think he's desperate to move right now though. Being open to it is a bit different. I don't think he's going to throw his toys out of the pram again. I imagine his attitude is that he's preparing to stay here for another year and see what the situation is, but if Spurs accept a bid now then he'll clearly give it some thought.

Surely he's just keeping his options open, which is what any sensible pro would do, rather than "wanting to leave".
He may be considering it but at the same time, he may also be considering staying.
I don't think he's flirting with anyone, he got burnt doing that before.

Could it also be posturing to get a big contract offer from us? Just in case he considers staying, him and his team need to get the best contract offer possible.

Yeah, how many players are on Charlie's books?
He's a boy playing games.

Come on, he's in the top three strikers in the world , he would have his pick.

Madrid play a 433 and Mbappe like to play off the left so they would be interested.

Man United unless they sign oshimen aren't getting a player anywhere near Harry's level

Chelsea would love him.

City could see Haaland move on to Madrid as rumoured

Bayern aren't getting a player anywhere near him this summer hence why they want him.

Newcastle would want him.

Barcelona LOVE a free transfer.

Players like this don't come up on a free very often, 99% of clubs would love him.

Out of interest why do you think hes keen? A good few journalists/pundits have said dont underestimate the power of a happy and settled family. I personally cant see him moving overseas.

I do.

I think it’s got to the point he will move to any top club that gives him a greater chance of winning trophies than spurs currently do.

Find it bizarre that people think his legacy will be improved by winning trophies with a club that would win them anyway, with or without him.

Its the main reason any player moves to any top club, regardless of whether that team would win trophies anyway. At the very least he's guaranteed 3+ more stabs at the champions league on top of that, with a genuine chance of winning it. Would certainly serve his legacy well if he won a European Cup.

We had a coach running down his contract last season, and the next worst thing to that would be to have kane (possibly captain by then) playing week in week out prioritising his health in the second half of the season whilst Ange tries to implement an energetic pressing game.

Have made my peace with the fact that Kane will leave at sometime in the future, it may be this year or next or even in 4/5 years.
He is (atm) my favourite player and has been for years now.
However the club is bigger than the player and we have moved on from other superstars like Gazza.
He may or may not get the PL record, but if at another club that is where he will be remembered for winning it, as is Shearer (Blackburn) for setting the target at Newcastle.
Also the PL record kind of ignores (because it is not the PL) the other top goal scorers like Greaves.
If Sky implodes then the PL may become another beast..
Hope he stays but am not too fussed either way.
However, I really want Spur s to win in my lifetime, especially the league.
Coys !

Most likely scenario is City sell Haaland (at cut price, if necessary) to RM and bring in Kane to replace him. But if Kane has interest in Madrid then they would be the most likely destination imo.

Other than City I can't see him joining anyone else but Liverpool and United, although they'd need vastly improved campaigns. Newcastle maybe if they continue their upward trajectory and leave us in the dust.

The point is he would get a generational wealth signing on fee and have the pick of anyone.

Not sure he is in a huge rush but I guess he would be interested in what a mega club has to offer.

Spurs 'yet to receive offer' from Bayern for Kane

Tottenham are yet to receive an offer from Bayern Munich for striker Harry Kane, Sky Sports News understands.

Reports claim the German champions had seen a bid of £60.2m plus add-ons for the 29-year-old England international rejected, but it's understood Bayern are yet to formally approach Spurs.
