Please

Players will have contracts with boot suppliers to exclusively wear their boots. Kanes contract with Nike is up and he's not announced who his deal is with yet so he's wearing unbranded boots until it is.
I hope Charlies not involved in the deal with a new boot sponsor, can’t see Harry scoring many in these

The lack of ITK on this is what worries me. Like clearly they will have thoughts and insights but keeping stum worries me
Should imagine CK knows to keep his gob shut this time and wait for it to play out. Outside of that most itk will come out of Bayern and what they are willing to bid. Seems like ball is in their court right now.

What is this supposed to even mean? I know obviously we are sponsored by Nike but players can wear other boots can they not or am i wrong?
I think the suggestion is if he signs with Adidas they would want/incentivise a move to Bayern, who are close to Adidas. There’s no guarantee it’s Adidas though, Puma for example have been throwing a lot of money at top players.

So Bild are claiming that Kate is house hunting in Germany.

Isn't she around 7 months pregnant? Then again, she probably sent Charlie to find a 6 bed house, and he came out with a 1 bed studio apartment.

Right….So let’s just sign mediocre or relatively decent players that definitely aren’t better than the club

it’s up to the club to have signed better players and have had a strategy to lift the bar!

the fact that he’s literally the only player we have that any other top side would want suggests he probably is better than the club!
So I think you’ve misunderstood me, I agree that purely as a striker, he is one of the best in the world. But that view doesn’t take in the context of the situation. He has one year left on his contract and, not for the first time, he has made it clear to another club he wishes to play for them. The reason he wants to play for another club is because it’s his belief he is at a better level than Spurs. I think that is likely to have a detrimental impact on the morale of the team. If he stays for the year, I’m sure he’ll try his hardest and score goes as that suits his interests. I’m sure he’ll be professional as that’s what his personality seems to be like. But he won’t be a good captain because he’s not invested in the new project Ange is building. So I think if he stays a year, he’ll stunt the progress and he’s better to go now so his transfer fee can be reinvested into the team.

I think the point about the club should have signed better players is a bit of a mute point. Yes, the club should have invested in better (or any!!) players during the Poch era and the manager choices have been poor. But we’re in the situation we are in, so I don’t think it would be a bad idea to sell Kane given everything I outlined above.

Always good to see a Levy and Grealish discussion in the Kane thread.
It's the one guarantee of a transfer window, that someone will bring out the old Grealish stick to use against Levy. 🙄
Even though the whole situation wasn't as simple as it's often made out to be.

Isn't bild very reliable? Says Kate spent few days there checking out houses etc. That's a pretty big step to take

Bild is a tabloid ofcourse...but its a tabloid who dont bullshit news like this.
Yes, they have the idiots journo like the one turned up today in Ange press conference. But a exclusive like this, they dont make it up.

Also, I see the article carries 4 co-writers including the 2 editors.

Pretty sure, she was/is there for house hunting.

Don’t understand why people think its a good idea for us to be stubborn with Bayern, let him run down his contract and join Chelsea/City/Utd next season with a huge signing on fee.

We’re not in the driving seat here, we’re losing Kane either way, any money we get now is a bonus - Levy will recognise this.

We’ve had Kane at his peak with 3 of the best managers in the game, its not worked out, it’s time to move on and rebuild.
Because Bayern are acting like bullying pricks and openly talking about another clubs player, constantly?
Fuck them!
Due to their behaviour, I would happily lose him for a free just so they don't get him.

If they pay the fee that we want, which will probably be increasing with each time they open their mouths in the press, they can have him but they won't.

They are trying to unsettle him and us and if there's on thing I hate, it's a dirty bully who's all mouth.

No way in hell that we should let them beat us down to a cheap deal through underhand tactics, especially when the club don't actually want to lose him.

Well spotted with the co writers including editors. I'm actually surprised more people aren't reacting to this as I just can't see his wife going over to scope it out unless it's a real possibility that it could happen.

Bayern and the media really are pathetic. If I'm Levy I'd shut down all incoming calls from Germany, screw them.
Absolutely agree. The way Bayern and their media are dealing with this is really embarassing. If I was Levy I would just be adding more to the value of Kane, they cokme in with 100m, we say its 150, they come in with 150, we say it's 200.

Not unreasonable position for a fan.

But a club can't let emotion get in the way of a smart business decision.

Better maybe but not bigger.
The thing is we are not going to sign a player the calibre of Harry Kane that's a given, in fact nobody anywhere is unless someone buys him.

Per Ali Gold:

A new boot deal for Harry Kane

All eyes were on Harry Kane as usual during the training session. As always, he gave his all in the training session in the rain and finished off plenty of opportunities put into the box by the wingers. There was a real effort to put in low crosses from the flanks across the six yard box which looks like it will be a big aspect of Postecoglou attacking football this coming season.
Kane headed off after the practice match, at first looking like he was going off on his own to sit down in the dugout and change into his trainers, only for others to follow him while Bissouma, Lo Celso and others took part in shooting practice.

The England captain, who then went off to sign shirts for some of those in the 6,000-strong crowd watching the open session, will have been told about the shirt stunt in his name in the press conference. He was probably as bewildered as everyone else.

What people might not have noticed is that Kane has been wearing all black boots during Spurs' tour rather than his usual brighter Nike ones. football.london understands that the England captain's deal with Nike has come to an end and he is now wearing his new pair, with blacked out logos, before a mega boot deal with a new company is announced in the near future.

Its probably Adidas....
Das Boot?

That's true but I also think Levy suffers with a bit of small man syndrome and will hate nothing more than Bayern trying these sorts of tactics.

He's shown before that he'll refuse to be pushed around because he truly considers us to be among the big boys of Europe.

These games and comments will do nothing more that make a stubborn man even moreso, especially if he really doesn't want to lose Kane (as in, he believes there's a chance to convince him to re-sign).

There's long been a real possibility it would happen, but it's equally possible, even probable, that no decision has been made yet, because we don't know whether BM will make an offer that's acceptable. And as long as there's a possibility, in their place wouldn't we all look around the place a bit, especially when money's no object whatever happens?

I Know we all want to be realistic, hard-nosed, and inured to our best players leaving, but this house-hunting story doesn't really add anything to our current knowledge.

It will happen as soon as Bayern stump up the cash.

Surely Bayern just waiting to sell Mane then they up their bid significantly and job done we all move on.

Far too much smoke 💨 for their to not be a fire 🔥 here.

My money 💵 is on Kane going.
