I said a few days back...that moment Singapore engagement get done (AIA 2nd main base) , Harry will be sold off. And he probably plays or attends Shaktar friendly for a good bye.

Also, my assumption that all transfer incoming being put on hold, till we see what we get agreed with Bayern. If decision is taken, things should move quickly after Singapore game on 26th

I don't think this a club leak, it's Manchester United. All the stories from United reporters and mention United coming back in.

Telegraph report seems to make it Man Utd centric. Something doesn’t smell right here.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has been told he must sell Harry Kane if he cannot persuade the England captain to sign a new contract.

Spurs owner Joe Lewis is understood to have informed Levy he is unprepared to let Kane run down his contract and leave as a free agent next summer.

Sources have indicated that if Levy cannot convince the striker to extend his deal, Lewis will expect the club to sell rather than forgo a huge fee, with Tottenham valuing Kane at around £100 million, if not more.

Bayern Munich are preparing a third offer for Kane and do not believe the striker wants to sign a new contract with Tottenham, who are thought to be willing to pay him as much as £400,000 a week to stay.

It remains to be seen if Manchester United could be tempted to formalise their interest in Kane - who would be manager Erik ten Hag’s dream target - given Lewis’ ultimatum.

But, for now at least, the club are pursuing Atalanta striker Rasmus Hojlund and have other targets on their list amid reservations about Tottenham’s willingness to sell to them and the overall cost of the deal.

If forced to sell Kane - who turns 30 on Friday - Levy would much prefer to do so to an overseas club rather than a Premier League rival, which strengthens Bayern’s hand.

Nonetheless, the prospect of allowing Kane - as close to a guarantee of goals as any player realistically available this summer - to move to Bayern without putting up a fight for his services would frustrate many United fans given the uplift he would bring.

Kane’s wife Kate has reportedly been looking at homes in Munich and Bayern believe the player is willing to join them.

A move abroad would effectively end Kane’s ambition to break Alan Shearer’s Premier League goals record. He is currently 47 short of equalling Shearer’s total of 260.

But Kane is also desperate to win trophies and Thomas Tuchel, the Bayern coach, is thought to have told him they can win the Champions League together.

Spurs manager Ange Postecoglou is becoming increasingly frustrated by the talk around Kane and has urged the club to resolve his future and admitted he is “not relaxed” about the situation.

Postecoglou’s mood was not helped this week when a German journalist ambushed his press conference in Bangkok to display a Bayern shirt with Kane’s number on the back.

Kane is not the only England international Bayern are trying to sign. Tuchel also wants to bring Kyle Walker to Germany from Manchester City in a potential £15m deal. Pep Guardiola, the City manager, held talks with Walker about his future in recent days and is now awaiting a final decision from the defender.

United are huge admirers of Kane but have been wary of being drawn into a stand-off with Levy and the cost of trying to do a deal given the limitations on what they can spend owing to Uefa’s new Financial Sustainability rules governing spending.

Spurs have definitely briefed the media this evening

It's across all the UK tabloids now.

4 news from mainly Manchester United journalists briefed at the same time.

Club side leak.

Kane is going to be sold - but blame Lewis (who does not care)
I like this take and didn't predict this PR spin that seeks to absolve Levy of blame for selling a Spurs icon (i.e., it wasn't my choice, Lewis made the decision, I'm only carrying it out). Such weakness by Levy.

If the club is the one leaking that angle (The if is me giving the benefit of the doubt) It is one of the most mealy mouthed cowardice approaches to a situation I've ever seen and the club has made absolutely clear what they prioritise if they go this direction and no fan should be left with any confusion now what the priority is for the club.

I'm still backing Ange to win the fucking league despite the club prioritising business over football though.

I really do hope this isn't from the club side, I will try my best to acknowledge it's not direct.

United have no angle here on Harry....unless they are getting sold to Qataris this summer.

The angle seems, 'United could come..so we are selling it to a outsider so, atleast we didnt sell to a rival.'

It seems weird to leak this before getting replacements/other targets sorted. Even when Bale was sold we got loads of players in first before it all started to heat up. Surely selling clubs will hike their asking prices up now as they will be expecting us to come into money.

Im worried there have been no real links to strikers/good strikers.

If Kane goes then I'm guessing the hold up would be because we're going for Bremer and Vlahovic, in relation to Lukaku to Juventus talk. Rather than VDV and Tapsoba.

Seems strange if this is a club leak as it weakens our bargaining position, unless we've already agreed a deal and this is just expectation management.

They don’t need Qatari money to match Bayern’s bid

For those that care Paul O'Keefe is saying it's garbage

My personal view is I'm bored of it. I understand why Harry is silent, I understand why the club may want to cash in or not as the case maybe but as someone who thinks Ange will /could be something very special for our club I'd just like the soap opera sorted and for us to get behind Ange and the team.

The German media are as bad as our own and that's a bloody low bar. Now it's just like following a shit version of EastEnders( I hate that show).

What's the angle here from United anyway? They know if Bayern are serious and we actually did need to sell him then we'd take a haircut to get him out of the league rather than to them. Or hoping that given two interested parties that he'd rather go to them, and refuse to go to Bayern? Which would admittedly be rather funny given the past few weeks.
