As said mate I wasn't being dramatic as in we'll never see a good player play for us again etc I just can't see us ever having a proper world class talent for that long again. Imo he still doesn't get the recognition from some spurs fans and a lot of football fans that he should. Clubs outside the elite don't get to keep players like that for near decade.

Not getting into a Enic thread but over the last 4 years or so he (along with Son) gave us a reason to be hopeful and a reason to actually watch the game.
He's been pretty unique in that regard, i can't think of any other examples where a player of that calibre has stayed at one club so long (Matt Le Tiss doesn't count as nowhere near as good or consistent as Kane).

There must be other examples in the prem but outside the prem Totti came to mind.

Christ, Kane might actually think of staying had we pulled our finger out this window.

I mean look at the players we still got to shift.

Not one defender in two weeks before the season starts.

And where the fuck is the DoF that everyone appears to have forgotten about...
Kane apparently spoke to Bayern/Tuchel before this window ... if the reports are true.. 🤷‍♂️

I’m not trying to knock richarlison here but imagine selling Kane and going into the season with a striker that scored 1 pl goal last season and a young back up. I understand that’s simplified but it’s laughable
I think Richarlison is the type of character who will step up to the plate. Hell wont score 30 goals but he can get close to 20

Ah. That's where we part ways. It's Spurs is the only reason I need to watch. It's never about individuals, no matter how good. Team first, always.

And he's perfect for the Ange system, if he sticks with how he set things up at Celtic. A tireless runner who will bury himself for the team every week.

The atmosphere and reception for Totti at his last game for Roma gave me goose bumps. Knowing that you had a legacy like that at a club would mean so much more than a Bundesliga title.

There aren't many one club men in the 'modern-ish' era: Scholes, Giggs, Maldini, Gerrard, Zanetti, Totti

I dreamed of Kane being one of the rare ones.

Could exclude Zanetti and Gerrard from that list as well.

When the dust has settled he'll still be our record goalscorer and one of our all time greats. He will still have a great legacy with us for what he achieved, and I can imagine he'll get a ridiculous ovation should he ever return to our stadium as a player.

He gets us in CL next season and we’re able to shop at the big boy table. He leaves now and no one wants to join a team not in Europe.

Cl means nothing to players, if you offer the wages they’ll come! And what big boy table does the CL get us? WE was in it lst season, and still didn’t get the world class cb we’d been crying out for?

We was told we’d wait for the summer and get gvardiol level targets (then we missed out) and we can’t get a deal for VDV completed, and more than likely will sign lenglet again and the cycle will continue to repeat itself.

If Levy gets £80-100m for Kane he be like a kid in a sweet shop seeing how many 20m signings he can get hoping he can increase the odds off one off them making him more profit.
Sick of ENIC and Levy!
I think these are the sorts of posts - where you’ve entirely made up a scenario and then got angry about it - that if people suggest this could end up not being the case they get called a BSoDL.

I’m just going to say “I disagree”. Thanks. Much love.
