Please don't read into my photo too much 🤣. It was literally just a reaction to the news coming out today. Also, Bayern are well aware of what they need to do now so it's up to them. Harry has now set a deadline so they either pay up or piss off.

Levy's not stupid enough not to understand that Kane would be more likely to stay if we signed better players. But that doesn't mean we will go out now and drop eighty mill on two new CBs. We have had years to sign new CBs.
I think this is the main concern buddy. I feel as though this is his last chance - only thing is the fool doesn’t see like this. He has seen bale, Berba and Modric leave and we’ve still made champs league. I have zero faith in us buying the players we actually need to compete.

How exactly this is putting all of the pressure on Levy though?
Either way Kane wouldn't leave this summer without Levy agreeing the price he wants for Kane and now if you want to believe this briefing he won't force/even doesn't want a move after Brentford game.
So I would say if anything this is putting all of the pressure on Bayern to quickly improve their offer to something remotely acceptable

Because Kane leaving for free because he doesn't think we can fulfil his ambition is a terrible optic for the club. The club selling a player for an offer too good to refuse is a narrative that can be spun and one the club I'm sure is desperate for. However, losing him for a relatively meagre sum compared to his star value is not an optic that looks good either. The pressure is indeed on Levy. Which now explains why Bayern are offering what they are, they think they've got Levy cornered, I think this is an instance where Levy refusing to lose a deal will be beneficial.

You think our defensive issues last season were just because of our centre backs and full backs? We were outplayed or by passed in midfield all too often last season and that was with 3 CB’s. Imagine how it will be with 2 CB. If we don’t buy one this window I’m sure it will become a requirement in coming windows.

Do you think we have a top quality DM or that Ange will get us immediately playing football like City and Arsenal. Even they have top quality DM’s and invested heavily in that area.

A CM would be good, but who do you shift out from CM? We have far too many already.

Defensive issues were a mixture of defenders, keeper, midfielders on top of shit tactics.

CB is top priority and maybe even 2 of them.

Hmm I think your math is a bit off. Our midfield was bypassed because we had two CM's vs 3 every week having 3cbs not 2 was literally the cause of the problem along with our CM's not being mobile enough to suit a 2 other than Bentancur.

Bissouma was a revelation as a 6 at Brighton playing for an "inferior" squad against the better well drilled teams you mention he was then thrown into a 2 with Hojbjerg who barely has the mobility for a 3 let alone a 2.

The voice note going around says within the next 24 hours he decides
Munich agreed a fee with us verbally then they met and tried to lowball it

Fair play to him. I like the fact that he wants to force the issue.

There’s no math involved it’s about style of play, structure and effectiveness. As you calculated, we simply were not good enough with 2 CM’s and 3 CB’s last season. This season we will play 1 CM and 2 CB in an attacking style - we aren’t immediately gonna be playing this inverted full back filling into midfield system from the off. i simply stated that after the CB priority I can see CM being a position of upgrade. Bissouma can also play as a hybrid 6/8 - carry the ball forward and link up higher when required.

And yes hopefully Bissouma will be better this season, but we cannot play like Ange’s Celtic we need some pragmatism in the Premier League where we aren’t the best team and there are currently 5 or 6 better teams than us - even with Kane.

Remember, we played with two CMs, with little support from the attackers or WBs

I think we’ll have more of the ball next year

you gotta, for the life of the fans, assume that we've got our 'spend kane money' transfers absolutely lined up and ready to go.
I think its much more likely that there is no plan whatsoever in place. We dont seem to able to think 1 step a head at all, ever.

We won't be playing with 1 cm.

We'll have a 6 and two 8s, with also the fullbacks coming inside as auxiliary cms.

On top of that, the switch to actually wanting the ball and dominating possession will change things hugely. As will defending much much higher up the pitch. City and Arsenal don't play with out and out DMs.

All the responsiblity is on Levy now.

Get it done quickly or else Kane is happy to stay (so if we sell end of window it's 100% Levy's fault and he can't claim Harry was pushing for it).
If he doesn't leave, Levy has to offer Kane a huge contract or he leaves on a free and that'd all be Levy's fault.

As others have said, a masterclass from Charlie Kane :p
But as @Trix has pointed out Levy will have put a value on Kane's last season, through loss of commercial and European qualification revenue, so the pressure is also on BM. We have a number that it's worth our while they need to meet it or go into the lottery of signing a free agent and pissing off their expensive new manager

Fucking Hell.

Sign 2-3 top class additions.
Kick ass start of the season.
Shit money on kane.
Have him sign the contract.
Win things.
Build him a statue in 6 years.

Is this really asking too much?
how about one oven ready CB- just one

£40m

would give everyone such a massive boost, including H

Ange isn't a pragmatist, we're not signing another DM and we'll get battered a few times this season as a result of our open, attacking style.

This also isn't the thread for this discussion.

Yes that’s the hope but realistically unlikely against currently better possession based teams - it will take time so we need some pragmatism right now. We don’t have good enough CB’s bar Romero to play CB let alone have them play full back or invert our full backs. This is how the modern possession based style is evolving and we aren’t there yet.

Not sure why this is being spun as Kane forcing Levy to accept Bayerns offer. More like Kane telling Bayern if they don't agree a deal in two weeks time he isn't going there.
