The key one for me would be a 20m+ additional payment if they sell him back to the PL within 5 years.

I'd take that all day long. Assuming nobody bombs and we are not desperate to fill other positions by Xmas (I'm thinking FBs in particular) then the additional CB can be a January window project. Not ideal and i'm as keen for us not to be needing Davies or Dier to ever step in again, but those attacking options (added to Madders, Son, Deki, Lo Celso, Gill (possibly), would be a really exciting prospect. We might have a bit of pain to go through but it would also be fun.
