The silence is palpable - feels like a rejection would have leaked by now unless they haven’t sent the offer and are just drumming up noise with the media.

Paul Gilmour from Sky Sports News:

‘We do have some breaking news on this and I think we’re at a critical point of transfer negotiations involving the England captain Harry Kane,” he said on Sky Sports News.

“Bayern Munich have now submitted their final offer to Tottenham for Harry Kane. My colleague in Germany, Florian Plettenberg, reports that it’s worth €100million (£86.3million) plus add-ons.

“So that does get much closer to Tottenham’s valuation, but Bayern Munich saying to Tottenham ‘you need to accept this quickly or we move on to other targets.

“They’ve told Tottenham that they want to get this done quickly, otherwise they will have to move on and plan for their season.

“They have their Supercup match next weekend and they want to get it done quickly. So this is a critical stage.

“We reported previously that there was a minimum of £20million gap in valuation.

“Well, our information now is Bayern Munich believe they have improved on that and this is their fair and final offer, and that has been communicated to Tottenham.”

Embarrassing that they just act as BM's mouth piece.

Levy needs to grow a pair of balls. Slap them BM chiefs and say no deal. Throw everything at 3-4 players who’ll make us decent this season and offer HK 500k a week over next 4 years + 25m sign on. Harry is “relaxed” about staying. Make him F****king happy to be staying.
That could have happened, yes. SHOULD have happened a long time ago. Not going to happen - best to sell him and regroup.

€100m plus add-ons could be the tipping point. All depends on what the add-ons are & how much of the 100m is paid upfront.

If true, still not enough surely?

I’ve been away from the forum for a few months with Leukaemia, must recently having a stem cell transplant. The docs tell me I should look at it as a second chance at life.

I see the Kane situation the same way to some extent. It’s a completely shit and horrible situation, but we have a chance to rebuild (again) and slowly it will be ok (I hope).

Life and spurs will go on….

It's a shame but maybe guardiola was right .. we are the Harry kane team. The midfield always look to Harry kane.... he has been pivotal in everything we do.... it may be healthier for ange to not have him in there as well and the team can evolve.... I keep telling myself all this to make it feel better .... did the same with bale, ginola, gazza, waddle and hoddle and Stuart Nethercott

Incredible that Bayern have the gall to not only bid quite a bit less than our asking price, but to also put a deadline on it. And ensure every media outlet knows this.
Normally I’d be fully expecting Levy to laugh it off, but I honestly couldn’t call this one. I can’t take my eyes off it.

Mate, I hope you get well soon 🙏.

Kane going is nothing compared to what you have had to endure. Stay 💪.

Yes - but nobody but Saudi are paying those prices.

If a Saudi team were in for Kane, and Kane was willing to go - then it would impact Kane's value. As it stands there is no evidence of a Saudi team bidding, nor of Kane being willing to go there. So there is no impact on Kane's value.
That’s just not how relative valuation works (from someone who works in the business).

But I’ll let it be in this thread.

We beat Guardiola's City in CL without Kane, with broken Wanyama and Rose. Looks like we finally replaced Eriksen properly too. Sucks to lose him but we will probably be more entertaining to watch than any season in past few years.

From what Herc and WLB have been saying it sounds like they’ve properly stumped up since they got the Mane money.

See this all the time with linked deals at work. Sales or refinances hitting and someone getting confirmation they’re in funds then the trigger gets pulled on a host purchases.
