Missed when Daniel laced up his boots to play in finals and didnt score a goal
Absolute nonsense. Kane’s played in three finals — one in his breakout season as a youngster and two when he was injured and had no business playing.

It is beyond absurd to blame the player who has carried the club on his fucking back for a decade when the club itself went from 2016-2019 — four fucking summers — without signing even ONE single player who represented a lasting improvement on the first XI (including what is possibly the single most disastrous transfer window in the history of club football).

We had a golden opportunity to kick on and compete for trophies year-in, year-out, and we completely fucking botched it. That’s not the fault of the player whose brilliance created the opportunity to begin with.

I would normally agree with this but going to Bayern he is not winning a title he is "collecting" a title and not much of an achievement to be fair.

He does get to play the Champions league but the chances of Bayern winning with Kane is about the same as Spurs winning the league without Kane in my opinion. My opinion might be a bit skewed as I have never been a Bayern fan and with the stunts they pulled in this Kane saga just shows how disrespectful the whole club is.

You do realize Kane wants to go there. Bayern aren’t kidnapping him

How many other players have played at a world class level for 9 seasons have fuck all trophies to their names?

Compare him to Totti, who played out his entire career at a time when Roma were well behind Inter, Milan, and Juve, yet managed to win three domestic trophies and a World Cup.

There’s a reason Kane gets stick for this and others don’t, among present-day, active players, there are none that combine his quality with his total lack of silverware. Blame none other than Daniel, who completely wasted the opportunity of a lifetime.

I guess it's down to interpretion. I see it as Kane giving them encouragement to do what they did. If he said no to going there then it would have been nipped in the bud. End of the day if he does go there we got paid and everyone benefits including us!

Crazy money for Kane when we're not in Europe and as far away as we've ever been to trophies with a manager that wants to rebuild in a different style with his contact position is seriously good business. Couldn't have worked out better for us, he was always going to go with the position we've been in with no trophies and he's off to bayern so won't even have to face him. I'm happy but that's probably because I'd accepted the writing was on the wall soon after the Man City debacle and I will live in the hope that he'll return to us to break the PL record in a few years

I find it hard to believe that any club we are currently negotiating with won't be accutely aware of the strong possibility that we might be selling Kane this transfer window. This notion that an announcement is held back to save an inflated fee is laughable.
Like Bale?

Agree with the sentiment - but there’s always this tiny part of me that believes he just might not go this summer, see some positivity in Postecoglu and sign a new contract to stay until the end of his career like Gerard did at Pool.

But I think we are already spending the Kane money and hope to get to say bye to him tomorrow.

I’m not putting the blame on Harry, but you’ve said it yourself he’s played in 3 finals, the fact is that he has had chances of winning things with us, despite the club not spending which isn’t even an arguement because we have, but our recruitment has just been f’ing awful! And its only in hindsight we say that, look at N’dombele for an example, everyone was excited when we signed him and he hasn’t lived up to the hype, not because he hasn’t the talent, but because he is lazy and uninterested.

As mentioned before, I think it's 14 semis and finals for club and country + 2 PL challenges. That's a lot of chances for silverware in less than a decade. About 2 on average every year.

His teammates take some blame. Managers too. But he also has not shone in these moments and if he had done so might have had a couple trophies in the cabinet.

Two of the three matches you’re using as a stick to beat Kane with were matches in which he was nowhere near fit. He never would have played had they not been cup finals, and he arguably shouldn’t have played given that he was a shadow of himself.

The fact that he didn’t put in a great performance in his one opportunity to lift a trophy at the club while fully fit — as a 21 year old playing in his first season at the top level — is hardly a fair indictment.

If the club had been even remotely well-run during his time here he’d have had vastly more opportunities to win.

How many tries did it take Chelsea to win the CL before they finally reached the mountaintop in 2012, or for City this past season, or for PSG still to this day? The late stages of cup competitions are a crapshoot and winning requires being consistently competitive over a long enough time span that things eventually break your way.

We may have opened up the chequebook after the stadium opened, but by then we’d gone through a prolonged period of transfer ineptitude that had decimated the quality of the squad and required substantial catch-up.

And the spending was done under managers who were poor fits for the club and while completely and totally neglecting the back line despite the managers’ wishes to the contrary. When, under Levy, have we ever been anything other than two or three players short?

Kane is leaving because of the long-standing dysfunction at the club, which has left us far afield of the clubs that truly compete on a regular basis, despite his own Herculean efforts. He’s not running from his own failures, he’s running from a chairman who has consistently left the squad those two or three players short.

Really surprised how slow the news is today on some of the other potential purchases. Thought we’d see a few more links pop up.

With todays ITK and the little to no German press coming out. I feel fairly confident the deal is done. Those c*nts can't help themselves. You'd assume if it had hit another road bump we would be hearing all about it today.

I do agree with you but that guy will tell you has had a shit for a few likes.
Bowel movement almost confirmed. Three year contract already agreed with Armitage Shanks. Andrex extra quilted playing a huge role in this deal.

Here we go soon.

The Germans would be flat out putting out stories if it was done. I’d say the deal is sitting there, but Levy and co have not decided what to do.

I am not sure about that. Could have been asked to keep it quiet till after the weekend or some event of sorts. They can't help themselves full stop its strange that they are quiet in general about it all.

Will Kane be as emotional as Lucas about leaving the club? Says a lot about his priorities, and that the love for the club is more important than any trophy.

If we as fans had similar opinion we would have jumped ship long ago.

I think tomorrow's games is probably the hold up, I'd hope that Harry would at least want to play some part tomorrow and actually get to say goodbye. Let's face it, he's going down as one of our best, when he finishes playing, he'll be linked with us forever. Gutted and sad he's probably gone, but starting accept it.

That wouldn't achieve anything apart from pissing the club off whilst we look to bring players in though, and all the media stories we're geared towards getting the deal done to start with, doesn't serve a purpose now.
