Yeah if he’s stayin a contract extension of some kind is required. Just can’t have him signing a pre contract in January after all this.

This could just be me, but does anyone else think this might be a ploy by the board to water down the fans?

I reckon they've got wind of Kanes feelings towards staying, but not signing a deal. Therefore the club have accepted the bid from Bayern knowing that he was going to turn it down.
Therefore, when Kane goes for a free next summer, the club can say they accepted a fee but it was Kane that turned it down, therefore making Kane out to be the villain!

Just a thought
more cleverer than we all thought

Hmm. I don't know. I think it would have been easier to accept if the deal was done like 2 weeks ago. But to lose him just before or even after our first game is hard to accept for me. I think its borderline madness, even with his contract situation.

If he stays he has to sign even a 1 year extension to his current deal. We cannot lose him for nothing in 12 months.

We also heard that an hour or two ago. Given the excitable or OTT nature of this thread, I was scared to mention anything in case people started to spontaneously combust.

You don’t have to worry about me busting, that’s gonna be my wife’s problem
