I mentioned this earlier and told not to overthink it because it was a German translation…
Is there often financial settlements involved from the selling clubs side? I can only think of when teams pay a portion of the wages. Loyalty bonus, maybe, but didn't he hand in a transfer request two years ago?

Wait, would going on Sky and saying you'd like to move and then not showing up for training not count as a transfer request? Charlie's got us on the fineprint.

I was thinking that, if your paying around the £100M mark, and you get the slightest feeling they wont be 100% comitted to you, surely you would pull the plug straight away
Not if it’s a top player when there is no one close to his quality available to Bayern? Surely you’d rather wait and see…

Because he didn't actually hand in a transfer request, he is entitled to some of the fee
I bet we’re asking Bayern to cover that. Amount for purposes of transfer is [X]. Amount for additional items not included in transfer fee is [Y]. With Y just happening to be the amount H would be due for not handing in a transfer request.

Something like that. Don’t shoot the drafter.

Don't mark this as Informative - this is me pissing about with things you see drafted that are an obvious money work around. (Usually trying to swerve SDLT - not on my watch thank you very much).

Surely that kind of thing couldn't be the stumbling block could it?

Why then all the talk of Kane leaning towards staying after the offer came in?

Feel like those types of things would be a formality not a huge issue

I'm pretty sure he didn't submit a written request. Went nuclear but wanted his loyalty bonus of course.

If Kane want's out that badly, he'd waive that agreement.
