Do I want Harry to leave? No!

Do I want an end to this prolonged shitshow? Yes!

It's not fucking fair on Ange having all this shit go on a few days before we play our opening game of the season. Add in the news re Richarlison likely being out/needing an op and his options up top are Son (hasn't played much pre season), Véliz (permitting his WP has come through and has never played in the Prem) and Scarlett (not ready yet).

The press conference tomorrow will be a shambles when all the media will care about is whether or not Harry is staying. We need an answer as to what is happening before that press conference tomorrow. There is clearly so much going on behind the scenes currently and I appreciate it isn't straightforward, but for this to happen a few days before our opener when most fans were starting to feel optimistic about the season is nothing short of a disgrace!
Firstly, you are one of my fav posters. But secondly, I'm always a bit baffled at all the "poor Ange" stuff.

The e bloke seems fine and well up for it. He has a ridiculously good squad and only one game a week to plan for. Is Harry a challenge, absolutely, but this is the job. Poch had no home stadium for ages, Harry and other stars injured - having to play Lucas up front, and we got to the CL final.

Ange is in a good spot whether Harry leaves or not. And I reckon he'd say the same.

Clubs will be telling us they won't be able to sell us replacements unless we can get a move on, Kane getting cold feet but won't extend, Levy doesn't want to lose him on a free and has gotten the fee he wanted so we're at a stalemate. What an utter mess...

If this drags on I think our only best case scenario is that one side pulls the plug

From Bild (Christian Falk)

Bayern still believes in the change!

From: CHRISTIAN FALK 08/10/2023 - 8:36 p.m

The transfer poker around Harry Kane (30) keeps the fans in suspense.
It was first announced on Thursday that Kane-Klub Tottenham had accepted Bayern Munich's offer of a fixed fee of 100 million euros plus 20 million bonus payments.

All that was missing was the commitment from Kane, who had reportedly long since decided on Bayern. But then the doubts began...

What's the problem?

According to BILD information, there is still a financial problem to be clarified. It should also go to consultant fees.

Harry Kane is managed by his brother Charlie and father Pat.

That's why Bayern has now sought talks with Tottenham and the Kane family again. Talks are currently underway between all three parties so that the change can still take place this weekend.

The Kane family is said to have put pressure on Tottenham that Harry would leave the club free of charge in 2024 if there was no agreement.

However, Bayern would much prefer the striker to opt for Munich.

Sounds like Charlie & Dad getting in the way?

The way Bild loving calling this whole thing a "poker game" I can't help but think of the ole dogs playing poker with these two involved...
Charlie wanted the club to pay for a new bell on his bike and a packet of Haribos as part of .the deal. Levy would only go as far as a bag of Smarties and here we are……..

Once again the fans of the club are the losers, despite being those same fans being the only constant at the club. Everything comes and goes - owners, managers, players. We just all end up suffering in the bad periods, which feels pretty much the default state since the eighties.

Yeah Ange won't feel sorry for himself for one second, even if the outcome is the footballing equivalent of a ten-ton kick to the bollocks.

He might be frustrated but he's not like Jose or Conte who would blame the entire season on this saga if things didn't go their way. He'll just get on with the job.

But you'd think it'd have been done pretty quickly though given the fee was agreed. Instead it's been "Harry's choice" and then nothing. It's really not a good look for Bayern, and it's the sort of thing that can bite him if he were to sign and not fully set the world alight.
The whole thing is a shambles though.

I don't see how anything that's happened in the past 3-4 hours makes it seem any more likely one way or another to be honest. Just the ebb and flow of the mood in here and people getting more antsy and turning more negative.

It’s his own fucking deadline that he seems now not to be meeting. All very odd.

don’t buy the “loyalty bonus” issue.

If there’s an additional payment due to HK under his contract which becomes payable soon but which he won’t get if he signs for BM in the next few days then this surely can’t be something that has only cropped up today.

Too soon fella, I'm sure the interview went great, but there were other candidates to evaluate as well.

Kidding! I hope things went well and you get that call soon
She said I'll know tomorrow!
Much faster than Spurs and their business tbf

The owners of our club expect us to turn up every week, support the club at its worst and its best (no idea what this is mind you), spend money in the club shop, Cheese room (if we had one), travel, buy season tickets and so many more things. But the communication is so so so bad, it boggles the mind, its not just about Harry Kane, its all the time and then when there is communication it is either souless, or just rank bad timing or shows us up to be the joke club every other club think we are. I fucking hate my Dad for passing this shit down to me sometimes. We are a sick sick social experiment.

COYS, Neogenisis.

If anything, Kane leaving will have taken the pressure and expectations down a bit, he can focus on a proper rebuild and not have to worry about people losing their shit about a Kane extension if we’re a few points off top 4 or in a cup quarterfinal.

I'm not saying he'll stay but I don't see what's so surprising about that possibility. If you're him, do you really want to lock yourself down to Munich for 5 years? As long as we don't look like we'll be a total ****show like last year, it seems in his interest to stay the year and then recommit if things are on the up, or have his choice of any alternative that he wants. On a free teams will be falling all over him to hand him essentially his own transfer fee. Though realistically I can't see him going to another prem team. Would he really put on another team's colors, play against Spurs, and score the last 20 goals to overtake Shearer in another club's shirt. I don't buy it - I realize he considered City two years ago, but at this point I don't buy it. I could see him going to Barca or Real, but not another PL team.

Mbappe has come out and said he’s staying. If kane was staying he would have surely done the same. Time to sleep. I’m done and xanaxed up!
