This club really does feel like a social experiment at times.

We start the day with the breaking news of him going (bid accepted) but as the day goes on hope builds up that he might stay after all.

Looks like tomorrow morning we'll have the confirmation and have to suffer all over again.

Wonder if any English papers/journalists will say anything.

It's all the German side so far basically rehashing everything.

Feels like the media have compressed the entire spectrum of hot-take Kane content into one day.

Still beggars belief to me that he's wanting to go to a league where all of the best non-national players look to leave ASAP to get to the Prem. A club even Kyle "Questionable Decisionmaking" Walker just mugged off for a payrise. They're after Kepa on loan to start for them ffs.

But I suppose it makes sense with his inner circle brokering him as the face of *checks notes*...Skechers. The bloke has spent too long being probably too loyal to too many, both club and family. He's wanted to build brand Kane and put himself at the top table, but these clowns around him just aren't up to that task, bless them. It's going to wither on the vine over there where nobody is watching.

I'll never understand it if he goes there.

I mean does he want to? All the noise was he wants to stay and then we accept a bid and he's given an ultimatum.

I don't know why the link looks like it does, it was a story from Crouch.

What was the point of haggling for 2 critical weeks over an extra £10m, when your targets are either off the market or gone up in cost?

Throw in the disruption to the season, and knock on effects to CL revenues, and it’s a shambles from top to bottom.

As I’ve said, nothing has changed since Berbatov.

Watching SSN now and Paul Gilmour just came on a said his sources are saying some progress has been made on the issue tonight and direction of travel suggests the deal is possible. Says its an active situation that could change.

Seemed to suggest his sources were more cautious than their colleagues in Germany though.

If anyone is feeling depressed I implore you not to read the third item in tomorrow's BBC gossip about a potential replacement.
