I’m willing to bet that Levy fucked this whole situation up!

Sounds like Kane was considering staying, Levy gave him an ultimatum of Sign a contract/commit or go and he was like … Bye 👋

Frustrating because you can’t replace him and we are being linked to mid level players like Trix said! 🤬

Maybe he didn't want to leave on a free as he wanted the club to get some money in for him to invest in players
Can't think of any other reason for not waiting until January and going wherever he liked for a fuck ton of money.

It sucks but I get the feeling Harry and Levy have worked together to get the best possible compromise.

We move on just like we did with Poch

It's akin to Milan losing Maldini, Roma losing Totti...Barcelona losing Messi...

This is not just any player... This hurts..

Putting that money straight back down on the best young striker we could get, or a statement signing of real quality that immediately improves our starting XI that we have just significantly weakened.

Best young strikers....

Mbappe - out of our league
Oshimhen - wont come leaving high flying Napoli
Muani - Already agreed personal terms with PSG (EDIT : Seems Ramos went to PSG. which means Muani is a good prospect signing)
Moukko - still raw , not sure he is the real deal
Ferguson - same as above
Goncalo Ramos - meh ,not sure in PL (EDIT : seems he already signed with PSG)
Vlahovic - 4 goals for Juve since Oct2022. Not sure in PL
Alvarez - will City sell him ?
J David - profiles well. Good player , but lacks physicality & aerial

Orban for me profiles well. He is raw but cheap. He lacks aerial ability but physically strong.

Personally I would go for Orban (25-30m) and Ivan Toney (50m) to join in Jan after his ban

Other way to play this, put that 80m on a Kvaratsheila or Mitoma and move Son upfront. At the very least we will improve the XI in some manner

But given this is Levy, I guess we will get Lukaku on loan

This is ridiculous. If he wanted to fuck levy over he'd just run his contract down.

people are losing their minds. At least be rational

Harry’s thinking is: I’ve got four shots at the CL. Thomas Tuchel took Chelsea to for finals of the five cup competitions in which he managed the club. He reached eight finals of the last nine cups across his last two clubs including 2/3 Champions League finals.

you can understand the gamble for a player that doesn’t want to end trophyless.

I know folks are getting all excited about him but he's a kid who has had one good season in the Belgian league. Now if you tell me we are getting him for 30ish and we are going to throw the other 60 mil on a top drawer CB I could get round it because we are looking to improve that starting XI. Looking more likely though that it will be a journey man CB from Torino and a player Barca are desperate to get out because they can't register players if they don't.
The wheel turns, Levy remains, the stories the same.

He's gone and it's time to move on, but it has to be said fuck Levy and fuck this current Spurs board. I have Zero faith they'll spend this money well, if at all. On top of that we are only looking at mid range players and opportunistic signings being offered by clubs and agents to come in. but even then we need outs first.

I've said it over and over again but it doesn't matter who the manager is as long as the current board and Chairman are in situe.
The club motto under Levy is and always has been
"Balance over team sheet."

Enic out!
Honestly makes me feel physically sick.

Levy never, ever learns. To lose a player of Kane’s level and to only bring in mid range players and opportunistic signings if at all and even then only if we can get rid of current players

Absolutely disgusting.

Liverpool have won the lot since buying those two. They absolutely proved going out and spending the money is worth it.
Yeah but compare it to them in 2014 - signing Balotelli and Markovic to prove they were doing something. I want us to bring players in, but because Ange thinks they’re right - not to pretend Kane doesn’t leave a hole, because he does.

I'll just add to this I don't think we will even do three deals with the money because of the "bloated squad".

Yeah listen when it comes to ambition and our owners we all know the story . There's not even an argument to be had.

I think those risks will always be there with the next big thing

Suppose I'm just searching for reasons to get up for the new era. I'll take any positivity I can get tbh.

He didn’t want to be here and the chances of him renewing were extremely slim. So I’m relieved. Just a shame it’s happened so late but other than that it’s one of the better outcomes given the situation.
Let’s not lose sight of the reason why. He always said if we matched his ambition he would stay, but we failed him miserably in recent years and here we are. I don’t for one minute believe he would uproot his young family to Munich had Spurs been challenging or had he seen us behave like our Woolwich neighbours this window.

He knows we’re being left behind by our rivals and so I don’t blame him for leaving.
