Nah I meant haggling the price last minute and keeping the uncertainty running up to the first game of the season.
There won’t be concensus on that either.

I’m a vindictive person so I love Levy doing this. Especially if it means Charlie has to accept less money to make the deal happen. And/or we screw more out of BM.

I don’t think it drags it out unreasonably - I suspect it will be sorted in a couple of hours with Levy having secured a few million more.

If Levy is changing things last minute then we have no right to bitch about shit when other clubs do the same to us in the future.

Who is holding Levy to account?

This is the problem. Joe Lewis doesn't seem capable, or his advisors.
Lewis doesn't care. That's the problem. With the percentage of ENIC in his (or his family's) possession, he is easily the majority owner. An ambitious owner would have fired Levy long ago.

Fuck em both. Fuck Kane for going and fuck Levy for selling him.

I couldn’t care less that Levy is screwing him over again by going back on the deal, I’m just gonna enjoy the chaos now.

Yes I’m petty.
Me too. I'm bitter and petty. I've moved on, but I still want blood.

Sky are saying that spurs haven't given kane permission to fly to Munich.

Ange is about to face his first ever PL prematch press conference. A event thats already going to be clearly eclipsed by Kane departure....Levy making the matters worse by creating uncertainity.

I feel for Ange and his staff. He would have never imagined the first press conference could possibly be his most difficult
He'll have an answer ready, something like "Sorry mate, I don't talk about players at other clubs..."

Any good international Company has a Board of Directors, some of who will be 'independent' of the main shareholder, even if it's owned 100%. It's just good governance.

For me, I can understand that ENIC act as they please, in general. That said, a proper Board should absolutely be holding him to account, and providing a constructive challenge to decisions made. That is clearly not happening

I mean they probably are, and the boring and upsetting answer is as a business we're doing good.
As a football club we're doing 'fine'. We as fans can want and ask for a lot more but Levy will point to multiple European places and finals and say that's good and a board may agree with that.

All perfectly valid but not my question. What football club owners are held to account? (I agree - it’s a problem - because your answer can only be they aren’t).

Levy is just trying to stop Kane from playing in the supercup and winning his first trophy away from Spurs in his first game with Bayern.

Is Levy trying to stop Kane playing for Bayern this weekend? Just so he doesn’t win a trophy in his first game for them?

That dream of him ever coming back out the window with this mornings nonsense. I’m uncomfortable putting a club legend let alone his heavily pregnant wife through unnecessary stress

Come on. At some point you have to let go and just laugh about it all. Utterly ridiculous series of events involving staggering sums of money and odd people. And as passionate and interested as we all are, 99.99% of us have no influence on any of this. So don't let it ruin your day.

I agree.
Brighton are in a similar boat as well. They know Caceido is off but it's taken till last night/today to get the right offer.
Bayern have understandably dragged this out knowing that we are forced to sell this summer.

Agree, except we are not forced to sell this summer. We want to sell this summer rather than let him walk on a free next summer. That's what it comes down to, ultimately. And Bayern and the Kanes obviously knew that too.

An ambitious owner would have funded transfer activities when we needed it. Joe Lewis hasn't put a penny in. He's more the problem than levy, imo.
