He's just a professional. It would be a bit weird and disrespectful to Bayern if he talked about Spurs now.

I don't particularly care he doesn't talk about us. He's moved on and so have we.
For all we know, there's a clause in his Bayern contract that prevents him from talking about Spurs.

You and your common sense, how does that help coys761 find quotes from angry Spurs fans for his article on 'anger from Spurs fans over how Kane has forgotten his roots'.

Will nobody think about his fictional son? :bag:

To be fair Maddison posted the Leicester game on his instagram story with a “come on LCFC” last weekend.
Sure, but it's not as if Harry hasn't mentioned us at all in interviews. I thought he spoke about us with real affection. I think the issue is this apparent expectation that Harry should be frequently expressing the kind of love for us that we had (or have) for him, even though he's trying to focus on playing for a new club. I don't think that's a reasonable expectation.

Absolutely spot on.

The most frustrating thing for me is we've been saying Kane is the best striker in the world for nearly a decade now, and people have been telling us he's not. Now he's left little old Tottenham the same people are saying he is the best in the world and recognise how good he is with the anti Tottenham blinkers removed.

Football is tribal and people shape their opinions as such all in the name of banter. I still have mates who argue that Martial is/was a better striker than Kane (with no sense of irony either).

Kane has got off to a good start over there but don't forget he's just a 'half-season' wonder

It's hard to believe how ungrateful Harry Kane has become since his move to Bayern. He used to be the heart and soul of Tottenham, and we supported him through thick and thin. But now, he acts like he doesn't care about us anymore.

All he does is gush about Bayern and his new teammates, as if he never played a single game for Spurs. There's no mention of missing Sonny, the fans, or the iconic White Hart Lane. It's like he's erased all the history and loyalty he had with our club.

It's not just disappointing; it's downright disrespectful. We invested so much love and support in him, and now it's as if he's turned his back on us. It's a shame to see a player who once meant so much to us act this way after leaving the club that made him a star.

It's part of the game, I guess. Players move on, clubs change, but it doesn't make it any less disappointing for us Spurs fans. We'll always have the memories, though, even if Harry seems to have moved on completely.
A quick google search would reveal that just a couple of weeks ago Harry said that he'll always be a Spurs fan and he wants us to do well. Not sure what else you're expecting him to do now that he plays for a new club?

It would help if he wouldn't persistently shower praise on his new Bayern teammates, Leroy Sane and Jamal Musiala, as "fantastic players." My son and I have been devoted fans for years, and seeing Kane seemingly disregard his former Spurs comrades, especially someone as integral as our beloved Sonny, is deeply disheartening. It’s just left us feeling utterly let down and worthless by this.

You on a wind up? Or is this some sort of humour my literal brain doesn't comprehend?

He's employed by Bayern. What is he meant to say? It's about making the right noises for the fans and his team mates. He's doing the right thing and throwing himself into his new life and role. Constantly harping on about your old club would be an odd way to garner support.

Mate, you're new here so I'm not going to jump in two footed but honestly, read back through this thread and you'll find that he's said plenty of nice things about us.
He didn't at first because he'd just moved to a new club in a new country, so had to get their fans onboard first but he's said that he always looks for our scores and suchlike stuff.

I don't know if you're expecting him to gush about Spurs every time someone points a mic at him but if you are, that's your own expectation that's letting you down. No player moves to a new club and constantly witters on about his old club, it would be disrespectful and moronic.

As for your son, explain to him how football works and that players move clubs.
I don't know how old your son is but one of mine is 15 and still has his framed Kane photo in pride of place in the Spurs corner of his room.
He understands why Kane moved on and just appreciates the decade we got out of him.
He's proud that one of the world's greatest players came through our ranks and played so well for us, for so long but like Kane, he has now moved on and he's excited for what's to come in the future.
He supports the club, not an individual player.

I'm not sure if you genuinely mean this, or if you're deliberately over-stating things a bit. If the former, and Harry praising his current team-mates really has resulted in both of you both feeling "utterly let down and worthless", I don't think you can blame Harry for that.

Seriously, there are much better places to draw your sense of being a worthwhile person.

It would be more heartwarming if Harry Kane recognized the fantastic players he played with throughout his career, not just since joining Bayern.

Constantly praising them in post-match interviews, in my opinion, is unkind towards our club and our former players…
My 11-year-old son watched Harry's post-match interview from the Champions League, and he was utterly heartbroken that Kane not only failed to mention Tottenham but also didn't express how much he misses his former teammates

Difference there being Maddison clearly runs his own social media but I'd bet a lot of money that Kane's social media is done by some bog standard PR firm.

When asked a direct question about our start a few weeks ago he answered perfectly that he'll always be a Spurs fan and it was great to see us start so well.

For me there's no reason for him to bring us up unprompted. As long as he gives proper answers like the above when prompted that's good enough, he's a Bayern player now and always been a very private sort of person anyway.

To be brutally honest mate, it sounds like your sons emotional fragility regarding Kane stems from you.
I honestly cannot understand how you're expecting Kane to talk about Spurs after a Bayern CL game?

This has got to be a wind up.

Why on earth would he bring up Spurs unprompted in a situation where he isn't playing for us, against us, or against a team from England at all?

It's totally irrational to expect him to be talking about Spurs in an interview directly after his current club have played a game.

Mate, I just wish he'd show more respect for the fans and the club that made him a star. We supported him through thick and thin, and it's disheartening to see his apparent lack of loyalty. It's like a dagger through the heart to witness one of our own, seemingly prioritize personal gain over the club that helped him become the player he is today.

In that post-match Champions League interview, Me and my son were really looking forward to Harry addressing the English audience, and us, the Spurs fans. It was the perfect moment for him to show some love and say he misses us. But, he seemed more interested in talking about his "fantastic teammates." It left us feeling a bit down, like he missed the chance to connect with us on a more personal level.
