Ignore it, Harry just says he likes everyone when he's asked,

"What do you think of [insert player name] Harry?

He's a good player, I've always liked him, wouldn't have thought so no, we haven't made an enquiry...".

Maybe, depends on how much he would cost. Cant see Chelsea dealing with us anyway.

Why is there always Spurs fans creating threads wanting declining players?

First it was Carrick, Berbatov, Drogba, Rio and now Anelka

If he's not good enough for Chelsea then why would he be good for us? We want to go up another level.

Almost as annoying as reading people say Wayne Bridge is the best LB in the premier league :rofl::rofl:

Football is never that simple.

He'd be a defo yes for me, seems like exactly the type of player Harry gets the best out of and would be a great backup for ade... For those questioning his ability, have a look in his trophy cabinet, he's a winner.

If most people thought like that there wouldn't be much activity in the transfer window. Different teams have varying needs and the make up of squads can be very different.

In this case Chelsea have an old squad and our top heavy with forwards. We on the other hand have a youngish squad and our light in the 'quality forward' department.

For half a season Anelka could be a very handy addition and in simple terms he could be of a lot more value to us than Chelsea so could well be worth considering.

Was thinking about possible striker signings for January the other week and came up with Anelka. He's the only striker I could think of that met all of the following criteria to be back-up to Adebayor:

i) able to play the lone striker role
ii) wouldn't expect to play every game
iii) proven in the Prem
iv) not rubbish
v) available in January

Not the greatest signing in the world, but fits our needs pretty well - we desperately need a player that can fill in for Ade if he gets injured, otherwise our title challenge(!) could be seriously derailed

Eek Didn't seem that way in the CL final

He's got winners medals for,

2 Premier Leagues(2 Different Clubs)
3 FA Cups(2 Different Clubs)
1 Champions League
1 European Championship

^ Considering he's a bit of journeyman, that is a bloody impressive record at winning.

Good back up for Ade but I doubt he'll want to sit on the bench at his stage of his career.

If I were Anelka I would be thinking how many games would I be likely to get without any real injuries cropping up...
