You weren't sacked because the chavs won the CL, H. Well maybe you were in that DL would have been in such an awkward position had we qualified for the CL and still sacked you I doubt even he would have gone through with it that summer, even if Uncle Joe was adamant.

Martin Jol does not regret his decision to reject Manchester United.

Ferguson revealed in his autobiography, which was released on Thursday, that he wanted to make Jol his assistant at Manchester United when Carlos Queiroz left to take over at Real Madrid in the 2003/04 season.

"I never wanted to [take the job]," the Fulham manager says. "I don't think I am someone who can work as an assistant."

Funny that a year later he became Santini's assistant. There were always some who thought Santini was appointed to appease the fans who wanted a big name and that Jol was always going to take over sooner rather than later.
