Good Luck Harry - you were also one of our own.
He was very good for us under Poch before he had his ankle injury. He was never the same after that and things weren’t helped by how recent managers wanted him to play. Nevertheless he always gave his all and personally I was disgusted by some of the vitriolic criticisms he received on here. Like too many of our home grown players he became everyone’s favorite scapegoat when things weren’t going well.
I hope he does great at Leicester. Under a Pepe acolyte he should flourish and I think he will.

I’ll always remember that outstanding game he had at Wembley against Real Madrid. Good luck for the future.

Joining us at the age of five, scoring against West Ham, Fulham, beating Arsenal and bossing it against Real Madrid. England debut and scoring for his country. Playing 200 games and starting a Champions League final for his childhood club. It's what dreams are made of. It what makes football still being football, despite everything the derails the beautiful game day by day. He's had his faults. It's time to move on. But there's no doubt in my mind that Harry Winks is a Tottenham legend. One of our own.

Hopefully he can use this to rebuild his career - if you would have told me in 2017 Dele and Winks would have left spurs by 2023 for about £10m combined I would have laughed in your face.

The odd thing with winks for me is his flaws seem relatively easy to coach - to be braver with the ball and better positioning defensively. But the fact that multiple coaches of different styles haven’t fixed it suggests he is what he is - neat and tidy but with little cutting edge. Not sure the championship will suit him but wish him luck

Hope he can get his career back on track at Leicester as he is definitely a PL level player. Has been treated awfully by our online fans in recent years.
Is he a PL level player? Not many teams play a possession style and have room for a guy who doesn’t move the needle in attack or defence.

To be fair how many players have improved under the last three coaches? You can probably count them on one hand. Most players career’s have stalled or absolutely nosedived.

I do agree though that he lacks cutting edge and maybe that was always going to be his problem.

HW has been at Spurs 21 years. It was said his finishing salary was £50k per week so as long as he has been cute with his money he is made for life regardless of where he ends up.

Good luck to him.

Couldn't agree more. Same type of fans who booed Emerson Royal too.

A significant minority of our fan base are pretty cringe tbh...

Anyway - good luck Winks. You were superb before the injuries struck. I was there to see him boss Madrid. Quality memory.

Not an easy decision to decide to drop down a division when you've always been a Prem/Serie A player. Some go down with their team but very few, especially at his age, transfer out. I think it's a good move for him, and that he'll be back, probably with Leicester within 24 months.

Good luck, but FFS don't score one of your two-goals-a-year quota against us, eh?

Nice comments from their fans after his first competitive game for them on Sunday. I'd love for him to turn his career around, I have every faith he'll be a regular PL player from next season onwards.

Spot on though, and that sloppy backpass in the 99th was criminal. Very lucky to get away with it. But it was nice seeing him play and enjoy himself on the pitch. Really hope it goes well for him.

Probably tiredness as much as anything in the first game
