Don't agree. I think he'll be found out quickly just like Dele that he's not up to the standard even for Everton.

To everyone saying this, I always pose the question of why he hasn't stuck out as being really good in games in the Europa league, conference league, relegation teams, etc?

Winks is 100% good enough to start for a mid table prem side. He just needs legs around him in a compact system. Hojbjerg and Winks was horrible as both are pretty poor/average athletes. He’s got more chance of success than Dele.

Yeh Winks and Jorginho are very very similar. Winks would be much higher rated if he played next to Kante. Both good passers and adept at avoiding a press but really struggle physically.

Winks is about as like Jorginho as I am like Denzel Washington.

Stats show him as an overall better player than Ward-Prowse, just that JWP adds the goals and assists from first of all set pieces. And the myth that he doesn't pass forward is also ridiculous as he's statistically one of the most progressive passers of his position in European top leagues. That said, not for us anymore.

But the hate has no place, Skipp is one injury from same treatment by fans.

Yeah but the stats are flawed as he hasn’t played that many minutes. His passing stats are not full of progressive passes that are more than a forward lay off and seriously anyone with eyes can clearly see Ward Prowse is a far superior player. Honestly pull the other one with the press resistant stuff too. He gets swallowed by pressure all the time

Winks would actually be a good player at a club like Everton. A steady Eddie that if he plays week in week out will become one of their more consistent players. He clearly isn’t good enough for a top 4 side or even top 8-10 but he is Premier League level.

Good luck to him if he ends up there and I hope he goes on to have a good career.
