I always find it weird that a grown man can have such dislike for another grown man they know nothing about, fully going out of their way to put another man down at any opportunity.

You got people talking about "behind-the-scenes" ? what behind-the-scenes antics did you hear in the salon.

People will use any evidence they can grasp to fuel their agenda

But that's a debate for another thread.....

Sanchez and Dier have looked like completely different players under Nuno. People were desperate to get rid of them but Nuno seems to have boosted their confidence after the 18 months of constant pressure Mourinho created for them. Winks, under Mourinho, was constantly played in a deep position where he didn't have the skillset. Under Nuno, he looked like a far more progressive passer in a CM3 in the pre season games. I'm not the least bit surprised he was pissed off playing under Mourinho's system and see no reason why he shouldn't get a chance to re-invent himself the same way as Dier and Sanchez have.
Yep, agree with that.

And said what? Nobody seems to know or wants to say. Can't think of any earth-shattering press revelations around that time either.

Think he was putting the manager down and exposing what they do in training or something...can't remember who has the story, one of the ITK's I think

Anyway I think we're in dangerous territory these days as far as football is concerned to simply believe rumours and use that as a basis of our argument to come to a conclusion about a player. By all account we as fans should work on facts, I mean we're all guilty of it aren't we and it's very easy to get carried away to believe something just because it aligns with the agenda we want to pursue.

We're in danger of turning football into a soap opera when in truth shouldn't really be privy to the information, footballers ought to be judged to what they do on the pitch, not unsubstantiated rumours of what you hear.

while i'm not the biggest fan primarily because of the antics behind the scene, there are cases where people turn over a new leaf. In Harry's case, i'm skeptical that he has the talent to do it much less the attitude (team first vs me first). But if Nuno thinks it's worth a try, then it makes sense to suspend the disbelief.

Those "antics" are just rumour and have been since disputed by ITK.

Doubt his talent all you like but don't dredge up that filth again.

He's one of ours, treat him as such until he leaves?

For as long as he’s here I’ll hope he reinvents himself, same as Tanguy and everyone else. But I’m sceptical because i don’t think he was played out of position by Jose at all. He hasn’t shown he’s good enough in any position is the issue. He isn’t a consistently progressive passer and carries almost zero goal threat as a more advanced midfielder, and his defensive positioning and awareness is atrocious when he plays deeper.

depends on how he performs, if he performs well why not? reminds me of the reactions when rose signed a new contract in 2014
It depends on how he performs!! We all know how he performs having watched him continually stink the place out under 4 different managers now. I honestly cannot believe Winks is still picking up a wage with us. If he is only good enough to be playing ECL games then he should be shown the door. How many chances is this guy going to be given ffs!!!!

this is exactly what i meant isn't it? surely we will be looking to get rid of him next summer if he could not improve his performance to a satisfactory level

Considering situation with Ndombele and Lo Celso missing big part of autumn, he is likely to get his share of minutes.

Apparently is not a fact.
It never made it to press. Well the piece in question he got caught out on. There were other stories about the dressing room turning against Jose that did however.

What winks did is worse no question about that.
Well said Jose. And just a quick word to the players involved.....

If you're going to sneak off to the press do your research!!! Don't pick a journalist who has been tight with Jose for decades because he might not keep it a secret who it was doing the snaking. In turn Jose might tell the rest of the squad who has been doing their sneaky sneaky best to derail their season. This is what Hugo was alluding to after Europa.

Oh and I can't be bothered to look bit whoever the poster was who poster earlier a certain player has not been to the press. Jose is talking about him, although not just him as it was a small group effort.

Because he's a coward of a player. He shows for the ball but only passes it back to source. Then trotsvoff behind an opposition player. He's ran off to the press spouting all kinds of shit because he's not playing, then when he does start does fuck all.

Because he looks all sweetness and light I guess. That and of course "he's one of our own". Like coming through the academy and being a Spurs fan means you won't do stupid shit like this. It's reserved for foreign types that look moody in training pics.

That's what makes it worse for me the fact he's supposed to support the club and has spent so many years here. He's up there with Hossam Ghally for me, and I can't wait for him to go. At least when Rose did it he owned the situation. At least he was no Marc Anthony.

Doesn't matter what was happening running off to the press telling lies to create unrest to get the manager sacked is disgusting. The kids a weasel end of!
