Has Levy undermined Redknapp?

Has Levy got fed up with HR's reluctance to spend and his insistance on overrated English tat?

Levy was right to take action but has this damaged their relationship?

I doubt their relationship has been damaged... I think it was Levy who wanted to spend cash, and Redknapp who was reluctant to do so. More decisiveness from Harry would have meant we didn't miss out.

This is all speculation, I think we did try and do the bussiness but simply weren't able to do it. Carroll was overpriced, Forlan was overpriced and wanted to much of a wage, Aguero didn't want to leave and IMO the rest was either simply rumors and rag top tittle tattle or their asking price was too high. Please remember Villa went for 34M in the summer and is better than Carroll, Forlan and arguabley Torres. Nothing has changed since before the window opened IMO.

Daniel Levy went from being "In a Relationship" to "Single"

I think there could be cracks appearing. Levy is going to be really pissed off today, whilst Harry is happy he still has his buddies Jermaine and Peter.

Transfers have a lot more to do with them than just basic comparisons...the state of a players contract, ie how may years left on it, is a pivotal part of determining price.

Seriously what is this based on, what proof or tangable evidence do you have to base this comment on?

Do you seriously believe that if Harry could get a top striker in in the mould we need he would be annoyed that he would have to drop either Crouch or Defoe?

Of course, the Jan window is incredably inflated thou, but would you not be pissed off if this morning we had announced that we signed Andy for 35M?

How long did Villa have left on his contract just out of a matter of intrest?

the best player for value this transfer window was............

Pienaar

based on previous experience.

everyone else was overpriced

the best loan was Villa getting walker

The only guys that know for sure are the guys in charge.

I'm slightly worried personally, it does seem like 'Arry is reluctant to spend big on untried players, or those that haven't played in the EPL, which I suppose is fair enough, but in my opinion there aren't many English players or players available from within the EPL for a decent enough price that will improve the squad.

yes, from what we are hearing

Levy = wants to grow and continue to climb the epl table

Harry = mid table mentality, seems happy to stagnate

just saying

Our list of purchases this season have been Sandro, Gallas, VdV, Pienaar, Pletikosa and the African lad whose name escapes me.

Where exactly is the 'English tat' in that lot?

I think it's only Crouch and Defoe (necessary as we had no strikers) + the two Kyles (players for the future) that I can remember that were English as others were Kaboul, Kranjcar, Bassong and Palacios.

Even more ridiculous when you consider that he's sold Bent and let Bentley and O'Hara go out on loan whilst I can't remember too many foreign sales.
