Well done Celtic (I was born Catholic so natural choice for me)

Statements like that are why football stinks in Scotland.

I support spurs because of the style of football and the players they attract..................sporting reasons, not blinkered bigoted reasons!!!

A lot of people start supporting a team at a young age because of their parents. I unfortunately wasn't able to assess which team played the best football when I was a toddler.

Alot of my mates support many different teams, Liverpool, Man Utd, Chelsea, etc. Living in a predominantly Irish community the one thing we can agree on is Celtic. How dare you question such a beautiful thing! :)

My girlfriend's Mum = catholic, and a Celtic fan
My girlfriend's Dad = protestant, and a Celtic fan

Don't get stuck in the past like some numpties. What the hell has football got to do with religion? Nothing.

If I had to choose between them, I'd probably go with Celtic over Rangers. I think it's the Irish influence, even though I'm probably as far from being Irish as it's possible to get, without being an extra-terrestrial.

But nicdic is right, football and religion shouldn't mix. It was very good of Rangers to cancel their planned parade when Tommy (was it?) Burns died. That showed a lot of respect and it may send a pretty powerful message to those that still hang onto sectarian idiocy.

Lets hope the fates and dates are kinder to Rangers next campaign.
