I know we have a few boxing fans on here, and the latest in the world heavyweight championship farce is being playing out on the 13th November when David Haye gives Audley Harrison a title shot.

Haye has a big yellow streak down his back, he's afraid to take on the Klitschko's after all his talk, so for that reason I hope Audrey knocks him out. It's not beyond the realms of possibility, Haye hasn't got a chin and Harrison has a massive left hook, and if he connects, it's lights out. The 1/10 the bookies are currently offering on Haye is way too skinny imo. Of course Audley hasn't much of a chin (or much talent) either, so Haye sees this as a big pay packet.

Heavyweight boxing = joke imo.

David Haye will make the second defence of his WBA heavyweight title against domestic rival Audley Harrison in November.

The former friends will clash on November 13 at Manchester's MEN Arena as 2000 Olympic champion Harrison looks to achieve his unlikely ambition of becoming a professional world champion.

Having failed to agree a unification showdown with either of the Klitschko brothers, Bermondsey fighter Haye was short of viable alternative opponents.

While 38-year-old Harrison's credentials are questionable, the fight is likely to make good money in Britain while 'A-Force' also boosted his reputation with a late knockout of Reading's Michael Sprott earlier this year in a fight he had been losing clearly.

Haye, meanwhile, has yet to secure a dream fight against either WBC champion Vitali Klitschko or his brother Wladimir, the WBO and IBF holder. Poland's Tomasz Adamek was the most credible challenger but Harrison was always a more financially viable option.

Harrison has flattered to deceive since turning professional nine years ago, fighting a string of knockover opponents before being defeated by the likes of Danny Williams, Dominick Guinn, Sprott and Martin Rogan.

Despite those setbacks, Harrison never conceded defeat in his quest to challenge for a world title despite being widely mocked by the boxing public. Victory in the 'Prizefighter' tournament last year secured him a European title shot against Sprott which he took in dramatic fashion, knocking his countryman out in the 12th round to collect his first genuine title, which he subsequently relinquished due to injury sustained in the fight.

The 'Battle of Britain' will be screened live on Sky Box Office.

Haye agrees with the common consensus that Harrison lacks credibility as a challenger.

"I don't think he deserves to fight me," said the 29-year-old.

"I don't think he's done enough in his career - but I'm happy to do my duty for the British people.

"The public want to see one final high-profile destruction of Audley Harrison, and I can assure them this will be the last time they ever see him in a boxing ring."

Harrison countered: "If David Haye thinks I've taken this fight strictly for a payday, he is in for a rude awakening.

"After winning Olympic gold, I set a new goal to become a world heavyweight champion. David Haye stands in my way of achieving that goal."

Haye is going to annihilate Harrison! Agree about heavyweight boxing being a joke, thats what you get when you got two brothers holding the top belts and not wanting to fight each other.

didnt pascal(?) floor him in the second round in cruiserweight?

Mormeck I think you're thinking of. And an ageing Carl Thompson had him floored too, neither of who were heavyweights.

The Valuev fight doesn't count as a fight. That was one man running around the ring trying to avoid a giant, and then John Ruiz was past it. The real fights are the Klitschko fights, I'd have all the respect in the world for Haye if he could beat either of them, but it seems he's bottled it and is settling for fighting a bum for a big payout.

thats the one! He definately has a suspect chin, its a shame really after all his big talk about decapitating the klitschko brothers. Can't see him avoiding them after this fight though. If he wins of course!

Haye has manged to recover from every shot he has taken(except the Thompson fight but that was very early in his career) unlike Audley who has been floored by some less than stellar punches.

I do agree that the only fights for him should be the Klitschko brothers but when ever do the fights that should happen ever happen?

What the hell has Audrey ever done to deserve this fight? He does not deserve the publicity.

Either the Klitchsko's or Haye has bottled it.

Same with either The Pacman and Mayweather.

Exactly, Haye should be fighting one of the Klitschko's. Audley has no chance at all.

Agree, that's why I think heavyweight boxing is a farce. Harrison is 15th ranked in the world, at this rate we should all throw on a pair of gloves and demand a title shot!

Sky are involved. Nuff said. Box office my arse.

As much as he doesnt deserve it, i am very much looking forward to it!

You never know, if Harrison catches him with a left it could be goodnight Mr Haye.

I should start training and join the heavy weight class :)

But, honestly, haye should win, although not really bothered about this tbh, he should have been fighting one of the brothers, not audley fucking harrison!!!

I think Audley could win, all it will take is a decent left hook from audley and its game over - weirder things have happened.

Haye, all mouth though.

This is an absolute joke of fight, Harrison does not deserve a shot at the title. I think I'll join Shanks in training and make a quick million.

Only good thing that will come of this is Harrison will disappear forever. Maybe in a coffin.

I've been following boxing for years and still box myself, I think alot of you are being a bit harsh, as in boxing you are taught that alot of fights are won or lost mentally

Harrison has never really had the right mentality to be as good as he can be,

I've been a David Haye fan since he started off as a cruiserweight, and I was shocked that he agreed to this because Harrison is the type of boxer who when expected to get beat easily, he comes in with a world class performance

And that is why he has made more comebacks than united against us, but on Haye's chin some of the time when he has looked suspect, his arrogance has been his undoing because when he is winning he does leave his guard down to go for the KO

I think he can win but i wouldn't put a bet on this fight as I think it is closer than most people think

If i was a betting man i would put a few quid on Harrison. His odds are gonna be well out and like previous poster said Harrison is very capable to pull it out the bag when hes least expected too.
