Tottenham's Head of Comms has left the club after 15 years. Interesting, given the summer we had from a PR perspective.

EDIT: As a topical aside, what do you think has been Tottenham's worst PR disaster and best PR stunt in history?

Ally Gold mentioned this in his latest video. He said Felstein was a true Spurs supporter and always put the club first.

Good luck to him.

The definition of a poison chalice. Did a respectable job all things considered.

Always respected when he shut down a journo for repeating the same questions. Poch didn't end up at United in the end anyway!

2 takeaways from that video

1) Simon Felstein - Legend.

2) God I miss Poch!

That Darmesh from Sky is a huge prick, he literally annoys the fuck out of me everytime I hear and see him speak.

I've never liked Darmesh and this just shows why.

One of the worst in recent history for me is the #NoToGattuso case. The public reaction had such a significant influence on an outcome.

A bit like some of the other "Big 6" fanbases after the Superleague, it's refreshing to see fans still hold some sway, but also a reminder for us to only wield that power when we really feel we must, otherwise monotonous and constant uproar becomes white noise to the powers at be.

I noticed that someone else was managing the questions in Nuno's press conference, I assumed Simon was on holiday or something.

Well handled ? seemed like a decent guy and did a good job. Not an easy job by any means.

#notogattuso wasn’t a PR disaster it was our fans speaking out to stop something we stood against if anything it was a PR victory and also we don’t know how advanced any conversations with Gattuso were it could’ve been merely very initial sounding out.

ESL was he biggest PR disaster obviously, especially the lack of apology afterwards, that was disgusting.

Before then it was ticket prices and the idea that we were strongly considering moving to the Olympic stadium and trust me if we could we would be in there right now given the cost savings. Thank fuck it didn’t happen and we have a shiny new stadium on the same site but that was a PR disaster at the time.

Otherwise anytime Levy pretty much speaks or writes anything it’s usually lies and meaningless drivel.

But we’ve had plenty of PR successes also with charity and community work etc.

The charity work and opening up the stadium to treat covid patients was a PR win.
But the fairloughing, the government loans, Mourinho/Ndombele social distancing and ESL all big PR gaffes.

Seems to have been a tough year for ol'Simon
