Another star at U21 level that sadly wasn't good enough to play with the big boys.

It's all gone very quiet on the TC front!!!
I am not sure what you do or how successful your career has been, but having embarked on a career in professional football and by the age of 25 being signed permanently by Hamburg SV I'd say Holtby has done quite well. Add a successful spell at Schalke, a couple of international caps, and I'd say not bad at all. I certainly don't think he'd be wanting your sympathy.

As for Tom Carroll, no doubt you'll take some pleasure if he falls by the way side at Spurs. If he does I am sure he will come good somewhere else and make a decent living from the game. I'd have thought all Spurs fans would at least wish him that, rather than score points against fellow supporters.

Your right, it's pretty much got nothing to do with Carroll. I was just amused to see how quiet the TC fan club had become after the Euros

It was a cheap shot. After half a dozen games or so you feared for Holtby and his overall ability at this level and with this amount of pressure at a ’big club’

I'm yet to even see a player of his level in TC yet....

Well I guess there is no talk about Carroll for the same reason there is none about anyone, because noone is playing at the moment.

FWIW he didn't have a great tournament but not many players did including Kane the 'fanclub' is still very much here, and I stand by my opinion that he should get a chance for us this season as I think he will do well, linking up witht he rest of the players he know. If he doesn't so be it but he deserves it.

I don't know what joy you get out of seeing TC not do well, but it is sad coming from a fellow Spurs fan, let's hope he proves you and any other doubters wrong as it would of course mean the team benefit as a result

Sorry mate. I'm a Tottenham supporter. If players aren't good enough for my club I really couldn't give a toss what they do elsewhere. I am only interested 100% in Tottenham. If they are not good enough IMO then they can jog on

Lewis finally gone...

It's a shame. There's some talent there and good character displayed.

He could have done with some training under the new management - an opportunity to adapt to "the system" like others have had, to see if he could fit into it - I thought he would.

Going to miss this funny happy german a little - always wanted to rough up his hair and give him a dead arm. Perhaps I'll track him down after an Oktoberfest and do just that - bail money as part of the travel fund of course.

Sad news, Holty was someone who had a bit of bite and could actually pass, something we missed on many occasions last season...

Good luck Holty, shame you never got a real chance here.
