I've got some strong fancies today but waiting to hear about Daarik in the 1.15. I have two selections in the race as managed to get them both at 8/1 but with more rain expected and the ground possibly being soft later on rather than good to soft, Daarik might not go on it. He has still been backed into 7/2 but I'll see what my guy says before cashing out or keeping it. My other selection in the race is a confident one for me (check my ascot pick for that). Daarik has only raced on soft ground once and he finished 10/10 and pretty much broke down so I'll see what my guy says.
The big festivals can be incredibly difficult to come out with a profit, never mind a big one so play safe this week and don't go chasing. I'm sticking to usual stakes today as I got some lovely ante post prices but I'll see how it goes the rest of the week and I might lower stakes slightly.

Completely conflicting information coming from my two separate contacts. One is saying don't touch Daarik with the unknown ground, the other is saying look at the 7% backing this morning and to keep the bet. I'm going to keep them both on for that race at the prices I got. The contact who mentioned the 7% backing has said that Daarik is 100% a group horse.

Basically say it was backed in from 5/1 to 7/2.....that is the percentage difference. I'm not saying those are the figures for 7% but hopefully it makes sense.

Should have listened to the guy I trust more but at the prices I was happy to risk both. Neither ran well, especially Daarik which was completely down to the ground. Poor start but we move on.

Very interesting, I get a lot of good info and with Crowley on board, that could be a great shout. I have Bright Melody 8/1 each way in the same race and it looks a tough one to pick but could be an interesting one to look at.
Also, did he just give you one a day or were those just the winners?

No he gives me his ‘Daily Double’ and we had Skardu as well
l was told Mr Haggas was furious with the jockey ? getting boxed so it never really got a run
it’s entered in the Eclipse at Sandown though on 5July
Currently 25/1
Could be worth an ew as Haggas is convinced of his ability
The other tip today is ‘Mascat’ in the 1.50 and ‘Victory Heights’ in the 4.10
Both big prices so an ew double advised
Hukum still the bet of the day though
I’m no expert but I can vouch for his tips if you stick with them and I’m well up this year
Of course it’s a risk and don’t bet what you can’t afford to lose
I will post his tips and it’s up to you boys from then on but please no moans if they go down
