How do we keep our players fresh for the last 8 games?

This is clearly the most crucial part of the season now that we are close to the top and close to the end of the season, so how do you keep the players feeling rested, fresh and energetic for these last 8 games?

I would personally not bother with the Europa game against Dortmund on Thursday and play a full 2nd string team right down to Vorm.I wouldnt even play Toby and Wimmer if possible and just put some extra Academy players in there. I would keep the 1st team as fresh and rested as possible for the Bournemouth game and also maybe cut back any extra training we have been doing if its training that's been done since the beginning of the season, just to give them a bit of extra energy in the tank for these last 8 games.

Not sure how else we can get players that look knackered that much needed rest between games but maybe do more Rondos than running to get their brains working harder and give their bodies a bit more of a rest, that way we can maneuver and pass our way around the pitch rather than running ourselves to death.

When we go out on Thursday, we will have a week between games, staying fresh won't be as big a deal as it has been.

If I wasn't going to the game I'd agree playing a 'weakened' side. But I want to see how our stronger players fare against them. Looking likely we'll go out, so no extra games between league which means the players SHOULD be as fresh as possible. Hopefully Vertonghen and N'Jie will be baxk soon to add to the squad too.

interesting...does that work for you?

Nah, too rich for my blood, I'm more of an Aldi air freshener/ Superdrug own-brand kinda guy, and I'm perma-knackered and consta-stinky. But only the best for our boys, eh.

You can't, you just have to stress the fact that the title and a place in history is only eight games away. The players need to put everything they have into these games. It might hurt, it might be rough at times, but they could regret it for the rest of their lives if they don't give it all they have. That's all we can ask of them.

During the international break we pretend Kane, Dier, Alli, Toby, Eriksen, Lamela and Mousa 'have a knock'.
