Was just checking the remaining fixture for Rangers. They have 10games left which means 33 games in the season. There are 12 clubs in the league. Do they play each club 3 times? Who gets home advantage in the 3rd game? Or do they do still do that odd split half way through?

There is a split towards the end of the season. Top half play against each other and the bottom half do the same.

So they play each other 3 times (I think luck of the draw who you play at home twice) and then it goes into the split.

Such a convoluted way to run a league where only two teams have a chance of winning.

You'd think that that's the reason they do it - more interest for everyone else. Same as the justification for playoffs in the Football League.

Freeze your ass off for nine months, then sit around hoping to see the champion crash out of Europe.

yeah everyone plays each other 3 times and where the third game takes place is random, then the league splits into two 6 team round robins wherte each play each other once, again location is random ( i think) and the points from those games are added to the points from the whole season, however if 7th place (playing in the lower round robin) accumulates enough points to finish on more points then the 6th place (playing in upper round robin) team before the split they don’t finish above them in the league
