How long can Pulis get away with his thuggery?

How many legs does Pulis need to break before the FA does something?

Dembele last week. Liverpool this week. Plus the broken legs by Ramsey?

But of course, he went for the ball... blah blah

Generally I agree with you but mean as this one was on a dirty scouser I'm prepared to let it slide.

If you're talking about the tackle on Lovren there was nothing wrong with that challenge. Funnily enough no one seems to be talking about when Skrtel launched himself through the air, both feet off the ground, studs up at one of the West Brom players.

As long as football remains a contact sport. It's not fun, especially for those that like to keep the flow of the game going and build momentum, but them's the breaks (no pun intended). He's just being tactical, even if isn't pretty and potentially damaging. I very much doubt he's going into games telling his players to literally break legs, he's just asking them to get stuck in and win at all costs. Players are so damn quick and strong these days that you're going to get mistimed challenges that can lead to severe injuries.

Tactical?

Theres a line, and Pulis crosses it. Intimidation is one thing. Going out to break legs is another. And yes they go out to intentionally hurt people.

Seriously? How on earth can you say that? What line does Pulis cross, that he wants his teams to be physical?
You make it sound like a mis timed/dangerous tackle is something Pulis invented, I think you need to stop listening to how the media think the game should be played and that the likes of Pulis are the devils spawn.
Your statement is one of the most ridiculous things I've ever heard.

Pulis is one of the better mangers in the premier league.Pretty sure he doesnt tell his players to hack opponents legs off.You are getting a bit carried away.

It's just Pulis's style of management. He could have Man City's squad and would still have them playing dour, turgid football. My mate is a Stoke City supporter & he was over the moon when Pulis left them (for the 2nd and his hopefully final time).

I think he will make Manchester city defensively much better and wont bother much with the attack as it is great just the way it is.

We've actually just been talking about Skrtel's 'tackle' in the office. It was bloody dangerous IMO, and should have been a straight red.

Not really. I say that as someone that has played the game at a decent level. There are teams that will go out to hurt you as much as they can get away with it.

If decent level is Sunday league, then yes, some complete idiots do go out with the intention of hurting players. Professional football, or even semi-pro, not a chance. There is a massive difference between being a competitive, physically imposing side, which Pulis' sides always are, and going out to cause serious harm to an opponent.

my brother-in-law is a Portugueezer and 3 of his teammates from their youth club at went on to play under professional contracts in Portugal. None did great but the most talented, even scouted by the then portuguese coach & coaches from Porto, Depor & Valencia, had the chance but had a temper. He was red carded almost every match. It didn't take much to rile him and he'd be a thug going in hard to hurt deliberately. You ask him now about it and he says he was a fool and wasted his talent. But at the time all he wanted to do was hurt the players.
