huddlestone as playmaker ?

We are creating nothing. Ramos automatic choices Zokora and Jenas fail week after week after week. Everyone says Hudd is too slow. He is too slow for a DM position. But play him in an advanced position - that would be his strength as he is the only one who can do anything unpreditable, possibly excluding Modric who I am afraid is just looking too lightweight ( as Winger predicted ).

I would go with King as DM whenever he is fit and Corluka when he is not. And play Bentley ( or Gio ) and Lennon on the flanks.

Shame we only have 3rd rate strikers but if we create more then maybe even those strikers can get one or two.

Huddlestone has to play in a central attacking position with Modric playing off the front man.

if anyone didn't see the game and look at this thread, he would think that our CM were a huge problem today, but it wasn't. Yes they Zoko/JJ were poor vs Portsmouth but they looked decent today with Modric on left despite Modric performance today was, but he supported Zoko/JJ and provided the much needed balance to our team, smilar system when Malbranque was here as both of Steed & Luka aren't natural wingers but both are good hard workers and vital for our CM.

I didn't like it, but i work for one or 1st half while G. Bale took WB rule today instead of LB or LM, smilar use to his rule with Wales or Cafu with Milan.

I think the problem was the strikers, they were very poor and that's all about.

Hudd is definitely not the answer. JJ did ok today and Zokora did the defensive bit pretty wel. And for me the only real plus for today was that Modric was starting to look like the player we all wanted him to be.

I think if we have Modric in the middle with a defensive midfielder alongside him then the wingers and Luka will provide us with enough creativity.

Sadly we don't have a defensive midfielder at the moment so I'm not quite sure what we do.

But Hudd certainly isn't the answer.
