To be fair - the club call it a fractured wrist, which may be semantics, but I think a fracture is less troublesome than an actual break.
Lots of people believe they are different things but a break and a fracture are the same thing.

I guess broken is when it looks mashed and fractured is when it is under the skin. Fracture is a little more reassuring than break but then when your leg's hanging off i'd be more inclined to call it a break.
