This is the best I can do, but using this: https://www.whoscored.com/Players/25604/Show/Hugo-Lloris and this: https://www.whoscored.com/Players/121774/Show/Ederson Ederson's pass percentage rate is 10% higher than Lloris'. In the World Cup, his pass completion rate was under 60%.

Happy to accept a difference of opinions but those sort of stats feel similar to what I see when I watch him play.
Fair enough, stats can only show so much imo. From my watching him week in week out I think the "poor distribution" label is very much a myth and easy stick to beat him with.

If hypothetically he was to leave (I don't think he will) - anyone else agree Butland would make a good replacement? Young, English and personally always rated him. Not the finished article of course - but I said before the World Cup that he's the better keeper than Pickford - still believe that.

This is all bollocks.

Courtois to Madrid is pretty much done. Chelsea are just signing a replacement before releasing him.

Basically, The Sun got frustrated that nobody was riled by their Trippier to Madrid story, so they tried again to see if they could get a reaction with a bigger name player.

Either that, or Real "leaked" this to try and put pressure on Courtois's agent / Chelsea in the negotiations.

I suspect there is zero truth in this.
Madrid would surely want a better keeper

I would bite their hand off for the 60mil mentioned.

Assuming there's at least a little truth in this, isn't the way Real deals with us now?

DL: Say, I heard Bale is unhappy. If so, we'd certainly be interested.
FP: We want Harry Kane.
DL: Oh, fuck off then.

DL: Hey, I heard Kovacic may be moving on. We'd cert....
FP: We want Hugo.
DL: Oh, fuck off then.

Lloris is good but he's not top 3 imo. Courtois, Oblak, De Gea, Neuer for a start.

I find this really interesting.

I love Hugo. He's an outstanding goalkeeper but I really, really struggle with the idea that he's not somehow upgradeable. We've seen with Ederson what having a goalkeeper with fabulous distribution can add to a side. There were times when Man City were playing with 11 outfield players last season - he was that good. So to look at Hugo, outstanding shot-stopper but a guy whose kicking is really not very good, and say you wouldn't swap him for anyone is very curious to me.

I think for the right money he can be replaced we have Vorm who can do a job for a few weeks. I quite like Pope as a good young keeper
