Emmanuel Adebayor knows he will never win around some Tottenham fans, so the divisive striker is focused only on repaying the patience of head coach Mauricio Pochettino.

Hate is a word most of us would not use when describing Adebayor. Lazy, selfish, conceited, arrogant, even mercenary seem more appropriate in my book.

I wish he did 'just want to do his job'. Then when people asked him these loaded questions he would say 'No comment'. Being Ade though, he's been back on the pitch for a few minutes and he can't resist the spotlight. Same old, same old.

I dislike him, and not because of media spin but because of how he behaves and how he talks to the press. That won't change but it would be nice if he got some goals for the 100k a week our club pays him. I don't have to like him to support what he's trying to do for the team, I just need to know he's genuinely trying.

Either way, he could score a goal a game from now til the end of his contract and I still wouldn't want it renewed. I had the same opinion at the end of his loan spell and I was right then so don't see whats changed.

Um, well, actually Manu.. if you gave a shit, didn't go missing for months, scored some goals and generally put some effort in then people would be cheering you on.

Top earner at the club who mostly cannot be arsed to contribute, I'll call you what I like son..

No coincidence that confidence was higher with him nowhere near the side, get rid as soon as you can Levy, I'm sick to shit of his laziness and excuses..

hate would be the feelings you may harbour towards him, if you felt he was all those things you list.

Booing your own player as he enters the fray was wrong in my opinion.

From what i saw during the game on Saturday and putting to one side personal feelings about Ade, he contributed more to our attack than Soldado.

Oh and anyone on here that "hates" any player in a Spurs shirt needs to take a reality check, not a reality check on this football club but on their life itself.

Not sure I agree with the second part Gaz, I often detest people who do not pull their weight in and around my daily life.

Why should it be so different, when Ade is doing the exact same thing to the club I have paid for and loved for many a year and have also played a huge part in my life too?

I am a season ticket holder of thirty plus years, and have never "hated" any player, though Vinny Jones got me as close to that as any player after the challenge he put in on Stevens that day.

Ade is on a contract that was agreed by Levy, a Chairman who had contact with Arsenal and Man Citeh regarding the players attitude. In short Levy knew exactly what he was getting in to by sanctioning the signing of Ade.

If only more people would realise that a contract is a two way street and that Ade had form when it came to being controversial. I just cannot apportion blame to a known indisciplined footballer who acts in the alleged way that Ade has. Levy deserves all the grief that he has brought upon himself. At the end of the day no one in their right mind would have signed him.

Fair point Gaz and a good one but I still cannot find anything to like about the man.

I class him as far worse than your typical modern day footballer with his greed, the world and my mum are all against me, play when I deem fit attitude.

The irony is, that he swears by all he does, by giving money back to Africa (obviously a decent thing to do but he should also show gratitude in how he receives it and give at least a bit back by putting the effort in) Without mentioning football lovers and fans all over the world, many of those poor Africans would give the world to swap places with him.
It is about time that he realizes just how god damn lucky he is and start showing more than he does on the pitch, rather than just being a messiah who bears gifts..

The supposed reports of in fighting between him and other members of the squad are not helping us at all but that happens in almost every job.
Being paid extreme amounts of money to run around and make people cheer for you are one of the worlds biggest luxuries, he is a no good f@ck for not making the most of what many, can only ever consider a dream.
