It's strange. I'm enjoying this so much, except during the actual matches. As great as the football is, and as much as I love that we keep winning, I'm so tense, so nervy, so wound up during every match because every match is so important. When Phil Neville got away with trying to murder Modric last night I absolutely exploded at the ref. Whenever we have a shot at goal I'm a mile into the air from my seat before realising that the ball hit the corner flag. This 'Gonna win the league' lark is going to be the death of me.

Perfect summation of my feelings as well... It's fantastic but man does it make everything all the more tense!

Not only are we still in the title mix, but we are still in the title mix whille playing some incredible football and when needed, grinding out results.

I'm having to pinch myself all the time to make sure i'm not dreaming.

Whats better though is whenever we are more than one goal up, and the other team attacks im just like pffft good luck with your attack, and wait for a counter attack. Before i'd shit myself every time. Even when we're just one up at home, i feel the same just not as strongly. But until we score, i convince myself its gonna be 0-0 or 0-1

I can identify with this too. If we were mid table with nothing to play for, we would be more calm and relaxed. But I know which scenario I prefer! :)

I haven't felt this good about the team in 30 years - since winning the Cup Final replay against Citeh, and being in the end that Ricky Villa scored!

I was at that end too.

Beating Arsenal to go top New Year's Day 1985 was special, the 1987 team were outstanding, the 1990/91 team including the Italia 90 heroes was fantastic but this is different. We are simply unbelievable in every position.

It is strange getting so much respect from other footy fans right now. I chat about footy to so many different people on a daily basis about it due to my job and even the gooners i pick up give us loads of credit. The Man Utd fans always seem to love us although i think there's always been a mutual repsect there even when we were shit because atleast with tried to play attacking and we were always good entertainment, but it just didn't always work.

Be careful SG...you may end up with one of those frozen synchonised-swimming folk if/when we keep on winning

Yeah BBLG sums it up well....there is a lot of tension inside the ground but ultimately we are witnessing something very special this season.

Yeah I'm getting this too.

Last night at half time my mind wandered back to the 'inglory days' of the 90s and early 2000s, strange thing is it was I actually thought I may be missing it a bit - finishing 10th and the highlight of the season was winning an away game, and the colonels burgers behind the Paxton End.

Strange shit.

Having been born in 1987, i can only rememeber from the early 90's and this is easily the best period of THFC I have experienced, the fact that its January and we're level points with Man Utd, who were THE team while i was growing up, just emphasises how well we're doing at the moment.
My favourite time was the Klinsmann era, but this has now been surpassed by this season so far.

I am truly excited about the rest of the season, albeit a tough run of games with trips to Man Citeh, Chavski, Scum and L'pool to come, however inspite of this I do firmly believe top 3 is very much acheivable and I am looking forward to the 11/12 outcome.

I was sitting in my car this morning in the traffic, idly thinking about our progress since arry took over, when it occurred to me what an amazing 3 and a half years it been.
A big soppy smile spread across my face to the point where I was nearly laughing at the sheer incredibleness of it all. Bottom of the league to joint second in January in 42 months? Fucking madness!!!!!

It was then I realised that the woman in the car next to me was staring at me, probable thinking 'what a fucking loon'

Bothered love, we're (nearly) top of the league!!!!!!
