Reading the thread on which Liverpool players would get in our team got me thinking what if you could have any other player from the Premier League would you still keep the Spurs player for the position ?

As noted in the other thread by several posters I think you have to take into account fit with our system. Here are my thoughts:

GK - I stick with the best sweeper keeper in Hugo, wouldn't swap him for De Gea, Courtois or Cech
RB - I like Walker but I'd take a fit Seamus Coleman who I think would be perfect for our system
RCB - Toby has been the best in the position over the last 12 months so has to get the nod
LCB - I think partnerships matter so I'd stick with Verts
LB - Tough one as Rose hasn't been as good as last season but I don't think Monreal, Kolarov or Baines have been great. I'm going to go for a post Mourinho Azpilucueta
DCM - I love Dier so no choice for me
CM - I'm going to give the nod to Dembele because Yaya hasn't been consistent this season, Carzorla has also been patchy, Manure's midfield is anaemic
RWF - I think the 3 behind Kane is where we lack quality and I'd go for De Bruyne ahead of Lamela, I'd also pick Mahrez, Martial and Walcott ahead of him
CAM - Like others I think Alli's goals have been covering up some patchy performances, I know it might be heresy on SC but I'd pick Alexis Sanchez to play in the middle of the 3 behind the CF, although any of Willian, Silva, Barkley or Coutinho would all be ahead of Alli
LWF - I think Eriksen is a lucky boy to keep his place and can't wait for Pritch to be fit and pressing for a place, sadly on current form Ozil gets this spot
CF - Here is another position where fit with the team and club outweighs raw talent for me so I'm going to pick Kane ahead of Aguero, Vardy and Lukaku, although take heart out of it and I expect most people to pick Aguero

So my final team is:

Lloris
Coleman
Toby
Verts
Azpilucueta
Dier
Dembele
De Bruyne
Sanchez
Ozil
Kane

So what is your team ?

Surely, even if we just consider the players you have chosen, Ozil would be AM and Sanchez on the left? Also, I'm very surprised you would take Walcott & Martial over Lamela. Coutinho who you would consider over Alli (with no thought of putting Eriksen there) is the king of inconsistency, never scored more than 5 or assisted more than 7.

For me it would be:

Lloris
Coleman Toby Kompany Azpilucueta
Dier Cesc
Mahrez Silva Sanchez
Kane

You'd pick Fabregas ahead of Dembele ?

You're going for a post Mourinho Azpilucueta? Hasn't it only been one match?

He was amazing last season in CM and I think a playmaker next to Dier add another dimension to our play, especially against parked buses. I would definitely keep Dembele in the squad though as a another tactical option.

Ozil would be a dreadful choice for the Poch system IMO. Sanchez however, would walk into the side. Works hard and oozes ability. Damned scum! He'd be my first choice.

Poch wouldn't pick your AM3, none track back and work for the team.
Great going forward but would concede to many.
There's a huge reason why we don't concede that many, it's the team effort.
Right now I wouldn't swap any player's.

Whilst this is a bit Spurs tinted, I agree to a certain extent.

If we're picking a team of players to play under Poch, then I don't think many would improve us because the coaching they've received means they know the system and that's why we're doing so well.

In terms of pure talent I'm still not convinced any of our players make the top XI, other than maybe Dier. But put many players from other teams in our starting XI at the moment and I don't think they'd work as well at least for a couple of months.

Lloris
Coleman Toby Vertonghen Azpilucueta
Dier Dembélé
Lamela Silva Sanchez
Kane

Mousa Dembélé is the best all around midfielder in the Premier League so he's in the team. I love Lamela with all my heart so I dont give a flying fuck what anyone says. Lloris is the best GK in the league. I love Kane with all my heart so he's in. Tough to leave off Aguero though. Toby and Verts is the best partnership in the league and relationships matter at CB.

First player I'd pick for a Poch team outside Spurs would be Willian - works harder than anyone in the League IMO, amongst attacking players anyway.

Lloris

Coleman
Toby
Jan
Shaw

Dier
Dembele

Willian
Silva
Sanchez

Kane

I was very close to picking this exact team, but thought I was being too biased.

IMO, Willian just isn't productive enough to be picked ahead of everyone else in the league and I think if there was 1 position you could sacrifice a little bit of work rate for productivity & creativity, it would be the central AM.

That's why I like our team.
No superstars just players playing for the team.
Right now the top AM3 would be Mahrez Sanchez and Ozil, none I would call team player work ethic but fantastic players in there own right.

I really like him as a player, would have him in a heart beat - he's been very good this season to, even if the rest of them have made his performances stand out a touch.

Anyway this is a very subjective thing so each to their own kind of thing,
