Schneiderlin, Musacchio?
Stambouli, Fazio.
Both not wanted after one season, but where as AVB had to continue to work with Baldini, Poch no longer had to, he had a set up that catered for players he needed to fit the system.

Wasn't Baldini's last season Pochettino's first after both Levy and Pochettino requested that he stay on for at least one more season?

Yeah it was but I am only aware that Baldini handed in his resignation after AVB left and it was rejected.

AVB wanted Baldini though, and if it wasnj't for Baldini some of those players that he wanted after Bale had left wouldn't have come in, not really sure what your point is?

Like I said I don't really go deep into AVB history in a thread about Poch, I know how this will end up if I do and I think you do too.
So let's just agree that Poch is doing an excellent job right now and has the potential to be the best Spurs manager ever.

I'm a Redknapp fan, loved what he did for us, the feeling around the club was amazing. Totally the opposite to what came next with AVB..... record points, maybe but he stopped me watching the team i love and with the anti-football he served up...... created a team with no identity or flair. Thats one of the main reasons i love Poch, he made me love the club again.
I agree with all of this except being a Redknapp fan. He was lucky. His timing was good in that things just clicked for him in terms of playing staff - right place, right time after the misplaced discipline of Ramos. Never trusted the man's motives, always felt he was a self promoter and compared to the class of Poch - no comparison.

Assume this interview will be in Sport (the free magazine handed out at train stations) tomorrow:

http://talksport.com/football/totte...ttinos-rise-and-how-spurs-are-close-achieving

I like this to end the interview, when asked what exactly is his 'philosophy':

So, what’s the philosophy? “We push them to play and to be brave on the pitch – to be protagonists, to press high.” He claps his hands together. “With the ball, play always along the grass. The way we play is a fantastic way to achieve things, and all the players will feel that they share our philosophy. You only need to add some luck to win trophies or achieve big things.”

Isn't he great?! Just love this guy!

That was a brilliant interview! Definitely my favourite Spurs manager in my lifetime. I honestly think even if we went on a terrible run for a few months he'd still have the support of the vast majority of fans, he's built up that much credit already IMO. Not that I expect that situation to ever occur..

I think you're right about timing Harry landed lucky, but the players loved him, we all loved how he got the club going again after Ramos who, was the opposite in being unlucky. Right guy, wrong time, but for his personal problems who knows what might have happened .....
