So many January's and summers have been blighted by the stress of 'THE WINDOW'. Now I see us a so much more complete I am not twisting myself up inside over who we will buy, when and for what.

Does anyone else feel the same?

Yeah, I see what you mean. I'd love for us, for once, to go in to the window knowing who we want and getting ALL our transfer activity (in and out) complete in the first week of January. It shouldn't be that difficult, all we really need is a striker and possibly a CB.

It would be great being able to relax for the rest of the month.

It feels fantastic to have a squad that we all have this much faith in. Long may it continue. But we can't stop evolving and changing. Look what has happened to Chelsea.

I wouldn't even freak out if we did no business. I want a striker, I want a CB but this is very different from the need I felt in previous windows. Remember needing a left wing - Capel...I'm sure my boss would appreciate me not checking the IKT page every 3.333 minutes.

Striker on loan till the summer. That's about all H will do.
As for ITK, Anelka on loan would be a start.

Its still wont stop the idoitic posts.. I shall have to polish up my Gago transfer bid again! It would not be so funny but half of these plonkers are deadly serious! Shame is if you check the ITKs 99% are wrong, but still serious!

The obvious is we still need to get rid and replace PAV! and everyone still worried about a CB! So I am sure we will hear about these two positions constantly up until the last day of the window!

My bets most talked about in this window will be Cahill, Anelka and Beckham ( yup that old chestnut is not over yet)

I personally wish that there wasn't a transfer window coming up !
In fact, I'm not worried about not getting any one in, this time.
I'm actually more worried about our direct opponents of getting players in and strengthening their squads !

I guess I feel the same way but Im getting a bit greedy after tasting a bit of a title challenge...

I still think that a few injuries could really f us up, so the greedy part of me wants another big tough and quick striker like Ade who can be at least a squad player or more.

We have good strength in depth but not title winning strength in depth imo.

First window in recent memory I'm not desperate for anything. it will be strange, and sort of calm I suppose. There'll probably end up with a couple of 'you will never guess who my mate has just took in a taxi Spurs lodge' type posts to keep us busy. nothing like the blue & yellow mania though I doubt.

Pinch of salt and all that jargon. I'm partial to Newsnow these days anyway

If nothing else the itk will keep us entertained during what is usually a very gloomy January.

Good post. I'd happily not pick up a paper all window. Don't care who we're linked with. If we have no outgoings or incomings, I'd be happy... Though Pav out and another striker in would do no harm I guess.

I think its been a sad reality of being a Tottenham fan that since the Transfer Window was introduced we have got more excited about who we would sign over how we actually play and how we actually do on the pitch.

Hopefully those times are changing.

For the record I cannot stand the Transfer Window and never have done.

Not 100% as i think it's vital we sign a Pav replacement that can cover for Ade when he's out injured. Really it's the only position on the pitch where i think we REALLY need someone in ASAP.

If we can get this tied up and sorted early then i'd be able to sit back and not stress this window.

I think I'll stick to the ITK Read Only section this window. Partly because we are flying so aren't desparate for an entire new team, but mainly because the last window was such a let down because of all the players we'd been told about. We signed Brad and everyone was a bit 'Meh'. We signed Parker and it was 'we've known about this for ages'. Only Ade really seemed to excite everyone and that was just because most people thought City wouldn't deal with us. I do enjoy the ITK section, and it can be amazingly addictive, but I guess it's a bit like being told what Christmas presents you will get a week before the 25th. And then only getting half of what you've been promised.

We still need to do some business in the window but hopefully for once it'll be the side-show alongside watching a fantastic Spurs team.

Still...if we drop any points at all between now and January 1st, watch those rumours fly.

'If'?
Bad frame of mind, you are building yourself up for a big fall.

ITK info is 50% speculation; 50% rubbish and 50% ego on ITK's part.
and I believe that 150%.
They are like racing tipsters and fairground booth fortune tellers occasionally they get something right.
Fortunately I can't access the ITK stuff on here and try not to respond to transfer speculation except to ridicule it.
Keeping hold of Modric is the January priority. Again.

I have been nervous all season that we don't have an adequate back-up for Ade. So I will continue to lurk around the ITK and Transfer threads 24/7 until we have one. Knowing Spurs that won't be till the last few moments of the window, if at all. So a typical January for me is in store and then on 1 Feb I can introduce myself again to the wife and kids. I will also have to start earning a living again instead of being on SC when I am supposed to be working.
