Idle speculation thread

So ... Let's say, purely for the sake of argument, Bale and Modric were still with us now. What would we be capable of, and would they choose to stay in the current set up if Madrid came calling?

IMO, we'd be pretty much favourites for the PL but I think the squad would still be a bit lacking for the CL, unless we got very lucky with injuries. And, yes, I think they'd both still be tempted by Madrid.

No team gets to have all their best players at the same time. The way I see it we are lucky to have Kane and Alli at the same time let alone Eriksen and Toby etc.

Mine has just started to make a whining/screeching noise when idling, it's only for like 10 secs or so but its a bit concerning, my mate says it's something to do with the fan belt and bearings or something but i think my Hyundai might be haunted with the ghosts of all the people who died waiting for me to get to 60 mph when trying to accelerate up a slight incline on the sliproad.

I'm also concerned that there might be a cat or a seagull trapped under the bonnet and its screaming to get out but I'm too scared to open it up and to be honest once I've driven for a bit it doesnt make a noise so i reckon if there is something in there it just chills out and enjoys the ride so might just leave it. Happy to discuss other possibilities, I'm glad someone made a thread for this kind of thing.
