There has to at least be a possibility that all the police activity will make it impossible for HR to continue. Remember how Pleat suddenly resigned when he was arrested ? How Hoddle left England suddenly ? How Venables did the same to focus on his court case ? There might come a point ( and nobody knows the facts ) when his job becomes untenable.
In those circumstances would we promote Jordan/ Bond on a temporary basis ? I don't think so - the club would be in turmoil and I can see us sliding quickly. Would we want Jol back ? We might but would Levy ? Or someone else ?

I'd like to cross that bridge when we come to it, especially as I do not think Harry will be charged and if anything does happen it will not be enough to force him out.

I like BMJ the person, but I did feel that he still had a little way to go as a manager, which is to be expected given we were his first big test. Did well at Hamburg, but how is he doing at Ajax?

It'd be too soon for BMJ, i think another 5 years would have to pass before either party would want to cross that bridge.

Since i was incredibly annoyed at Harry being appointed in the first place and thought it would be a disaster it shows i know nothing and therefore would probably have to keep this in mind and recommend....Tony Adams

I would take Jol back in those circumstances. I thoroughly enjoyed Jol's time at Spurs and it'd be interesting to see how he does when he has complete control.

I've really enjoyed Harry's time here as well, the results, the football and the fact that the players talk to the press all the time makes the club feel more connected compared to the cagey attitude we've had with most managers.

I love Martin Jol, but feel the moment has passed and that if he was to return it would be a mistake for us and for him. Things are rarely as good the second time round sadly.

It still hurts the way that we dumped him.

I'd love a copy of the Getafe game, just for the crowd reaction when the news of his departure spread at and after half-time. Awe-inspiring stuff and something which is all too rare in football that even when a man is clearly struggling, they stood up, one to a man, and sang their hearts out to thank the man who'd brought the good times back to the Lane

The thread seems pointless to me. If redknapp goes? Why would he be leaving, he has already stated that the topics in the press recently are rubbish. Why carry on media bullshit?

He's hardly going to come out and admit any potential charges of tax evasion is he?

No obviously not. But i was under the impression he has said that it is about a 10k discrepency in a 10m tax bill over the years, which he has declared but doesn't think is owed so hasn't paid it. Surely the worst case would be he pays the 10k.

I think we need to first establish what the fans liked about Joel was it his personality or his management skills/tactics/techniques?
Well most of my friends (Spurs fans and non Spurs fans) say it was him as a person and the love he showed for the club and the fans, strip that away and most would say he was average.
I'm one of those fans who don't really support individuals, just whats best for my club and I think whats best is to try to keep hold of Redknapp as best as we can without bringing the club into disrepute

I doubt very much Harry will go, Levy will have taken Harry onboard knowing all about Harry first.

I voted Jol with DoF, as long as its Comoli.
It would be exactly like groundhog day.

Without Bill Murray of course.

Capello, Sir Alex, Jose Mourinho or Guadiola please.

About as much likelihood of getting any of those as there is, imo, of Redknapp losing his job because of police/tax authorities and Levy replacing him with Jol.

No, but I think the press would devote much more column inches to it than the narrow column the NOTW has done today.

Usually, when a story emerges of this nature, us fans all say its bollocks and that the press are blowing it out all proportion. On this occasion, its actually more of the reverse.

The fans are keeping the story going with 'ifs and buts' while the papers are saying its minor and not a real threat to Harry's job and the only story worth reporting is that the police are dragging their feet over the whole thing and going round in circles because they don't actually have much to go on - even after a year of investigating.

1 - Cross bridge when come to...as one of first posters said.

2 - I voted other but with no defeinite idea of who...probalby Mourinho, but he ain't gonna leave Inter even if 'Arry does 'go on vacation'.

3 - My decision to vote 'Other' was largely informed by the complete invalidity of Options 2 & 3...something no-one else seems to have picked up on. The fact is that when he left BMJ was asked if he would ever consider managing Spurs in the future. he was emphatic: "Sure, but only with a different Chairman". So, unless someone is cognisant of Dan Levy's plans in a way in which I am not, I would see these two options as meaningless. This in no way indicates any antipathy to BMJ. It should also be pointed out that Dan Levy stated that he was not abandoning the DOF system when 'Arry came in, just putting it into abeyance, so there is a good chance that even if Levy and BMJ were prepared to work together again, Dan would wish to reinstitute the DOF system...so option 3 would seem to be on very shaky ground.

That leaves Option 1: er, no! Kevin Bond has had his day and found his level, and, alas, Big Joe may prove the old agage 'It takes strength to play the second fiddle well' - not sure I would want to tell him, though:wink:
