For many Tottenham fans, after the passive, reactive, sometimes dire and often ineffective football they watched their team play under José Mourinho, (briefly) Nuno Espiríto Santo and Antonio Conte, the most important aspect of the next appointment is entertainment.

A bit harsh to judge him on European results as he hasnt really had a proper chance there. He just hasnt had the players with the experience needed to perform at that level.

Ferguson with Man u in 90s and Wenger too were hopeless in Europe initially but as the quality of the squad got better so did the results.

Getting two points in the Group Stage with a bunch of players who would be also-rans in the Championship is pretty impressive in my opinion.

sorry i was just summarising the article it was not mean to be an attack on HIm.

i was saying what the article said, personally i think he could be a very good manager for us, but we need to improve our defence and he had kane and Son i would imagine he would have looked good in europe

“As much as we get defined by success – winning trophies and winning games – the most pleasing thing for me is the number of goals we’ve scored,” Postecoglou said towards the end of last season with his Celtic side chasing a club record for goals scored in a season. “I still think that’s the best part of football, it goes beyond winning. Sometimes you can win and not really enjoy a game, but never do you not enjoy a goal. Even the most scrambling, ugliest of goals still gets celebrated. I love the joy goals bring.”

I read the above ‘Ange’ quotes from the article and was completely blown away… Looking forward to seeing his team in full flow, and really hope he can grab a couple of meaningful trophies with us too.
