I'd carve Levys name in my forehead then go press my ballsack against the glass of the pundit booth at the first home game of the season.

I think that's the only logical response.

In all honesty I don't know how I'd feel. A bit empty I guess. In particular if he joined United it would severely put a dent in my love for football.

I'm hardly going to stop supporting Spurs though...but it would make it a lot harder to get excited about the prospect of doing well when all we'd be cheering on is United's feeder team.

Get even more wound up with our strikers, and Harry, for failing to score the goals/identify a striker that secured us a CL spot that was there waiting for us on a silver platter......

Luka has been my favourite Spur since he joined us and he is the glue that holds the team together - as someone else said, the heartbeat of the side. We should be building the team around him.

It would be such a wrong thing to do and I would be very, very upset.

I couldn't ever stop supporting and loving Spurs, but it would destroy my love of football and probably drive me to not watching football anymore (i'd still check our results though).

I would be absolutely gutted. I love the little man.

But I have suppoerted the club for 30 years now, through the dark days of the '90s, I didn't think about quitting Spurs then, and I wouldn't now. My love for the club is bigger than any player can ever be.

I think we should all take part in a mass suicide at white hart lane lol

It'd be like Waco

In all seriousness I don't think he'll go. I think Harry chatting like that shows he has lost faith in levy. If the feeling is mutual then it's gonna be an eventful summer

Wouldn't put it past Levy to flog him in order to use the funds to pay ex footballer David Beckhams wages.

There is no doubt in my mind they are/will be bidding for him, Fergie was quoted in the press this morning saying that Giggs and Scholes are coming to the end and they need to plug the gaps.

Modric is the Scholes replacement....and Bale is the obvious Giggs replacement. Not saying they'll go for both this summer but they might. Modric will be their priority though.

I could see them throwing the 'ronaldo money' on both - 80 million.

I would break down in floods of tears and then commit suicide. It truly would be the end of the world.

I Just could not go on living knowing that there was a Spurs without Luka Modric.

I'd be ashamed to support the club in a little way. And I'd definately delete my Facebook. And I'd probably give the missus the best angry sex ever

This
Id probably just follow Cardiff or Swansea instead as I don't see the point if were going to give up all the time when were so close to being great!

would show we pretty much are a small time club, berbatov, carrick and campbell we couldnt do anything with due to contract length really so can forgive that

but modric has 5 years reaming, and he wont kick up a fuss if he doesn't move so to sell would only indicate greed. and to a rival as well is just a kick to the nuts.

if he was immediately replaced by a player of the same calibur in the same position then ok. but i just wouldnt really care that much about football anymore if not, no player is bigger than the club but whats the point bothering to follow if we are only as good as united allow us to be, could never win the title unless we got a sugar daddy.

chilling thought really, selling modric then bringing in parker and adams as replacements. but look we got drogba so its ok!!!

chilling indeed

I can see this taking up far too much of Harry & Levys time, both negotiating and talking to the press, for my liking - whether our top notch stay or go, we've got some very desirable players, this will mean dealing with a fair bit of interest. We've also got a fair few players we want shot of to free up wages, etc. so we'll have plenty of clubs trying their luck with cheeky, undervalued bids for Keane, Bentley, Gio etc.

The club will have a very tough balancing act on their hands, trying to both sign and release players at sensible prices, without falling foul of the time constraints, like we did last time.

It wouldn't be like losing Berba. When Berba was awesome for us, we knew we'd lose him. He never came out and said "I'm happy" and we weren't as good as we are now then. We are now on the verge of competing for the title, and Luka Modric IMO is the central figure in those plans. Losing him would set back all the planning and good work of the last 2-3 years. From Champions League with Luka, to Europa League with Scott Parker. No thank you.

We don't expect to lose Luka, that's my point. Like when we lost Keane, we said 22m is a good price. When we lost Berba, we practically said "good, fuck off you sulky git, refusing to play". When we sold Carrick we said "18m? LOL!"

there is simply no excuse for our club to sell modric...no excuse would be big enough...

we are financially stable & modric can not be replaced...he simply cant, we cant buy xavi or iniesta....

DL would be cutting his own throat because the modric love throughout the spurs fanbase is the biggest since gazza imo....

he is awesome...wonderful talent...DL would never be forgiven

I think it could well be Levy's undoing.

Think there would be one hell of backlash if this happens and we become aware that Modric was never forcing it - which I dont believe he would.
