If his ankle is fine and he's training uninhibited then don't see the problem him starting as correct me if i'm wrong, it's not the type of injury that would 'flare up' like a muscle injury (groin/hamstring etc).

I'd have no qualms about us starting him but would caveat this by giving Janssen more minutes up top so maybe sub him circa 60mins.

I'll correct you

An ankle can still be weak and the injury worsened if you come back too early. However, Kane sounds like a quick healer and I'm sure he has been thouroughly assessed / tested.

I think he's more likely to start than be sub as his fitness will be good and if there is a problem he can come off, whereas if he comes on and has a problem we may be stuck.

Just nervous he might tweak it again. You see what happens when some players come back early, but will see! Sure Poch and the medical staff know best.

Getting Rose back for the final stretch, particularly games against Chelsea, Arsenal, and United would be great.

ali z: Vic should be ok Saturday might see Rose on the bench.
This can't be true as this is what Poch said in the press conference before Watford. Sounds like he won't play until May to me unless Poch is lying which I doubt!
  • "There was also an update on Danny Rose and Pochettino has revealed that the full-back is on course to return to full training before the end of the month."

I agree with Rose but I think Dier and Dembele could be just as good against Chelsea. Would love to see Rose get 20 mins on sat. We have missed him so so much to balance our system.
Having Wanyama allows us to go back to the 3-4-3 formation that we have looked so good in, particularly against Chelsea

Eric Dier just happens to have had his best couple of games of the season back in DM where he belongs.

Dier is much better in CM but having the back 3 has a greater impact on the team. It's going to be interesting to see if he drops Son considering how effective he's been but I reckon it's back to 3-4-3 with Alli Eriksen and Kane in the 3.
